(Warning: sad git moment ahead!) - amusing to see the Simon Fraser University (Vancouver) campus being used as the training facility location. I swear that university must be funded by the Canadian film/TV industry. (Has appeared in numerous Lionsgate films, and shows like Stargate and Continuum).

I've played all the games, bought all the games (although I sold Halo Wars because I sucked royally).

AND I've read all the books, and as soon as my local bookstore stocks the new one, that will be bought and read as well.

needless to say, I pre-ordered the Limited-Edition a couple of months ago Very Happy

I can understand not liking it one bit if you don't like sci-fi FPS's, but to say its one of the worst franchises ever is a bit much. Playing Halo 1 on release day of the original xbox was one of the most jaw dropping moments I've ever experienced in videogames. Personally I can't wait for what must be considered the most important game this year. bounce

Seriously though, it's not the gameplay that makes Halo special but its the story and the way they have created such an incredible universe behind what you see on screen. The books, games and DVDs have created this generations Star Wars, and I'm glad I was always a part of it. Mass Effect is right behind it though...

The reveal of The Flood still is one of the best video game moments I have ever played through. Again, Mass Effect's reveal of what the Reapers were is up there with it.

only owned halo 1, played 2 ages back, played 3 and ODST a bit, but i think i'm gonna have to get this. but 1 problem, so many good games coming out in the next 6 months that i want to get, but not enough money: F1 2012 (i know it's been released, but still..), Forza Horizon, Project C.A.R.S., halo 4, the list goes on.

Oh, I know that it's a hugely popular & successful franchise. It's just that I hate. Although I did put For me it's one of the worse franchises...' swings & roundabouts, I suppose. I get stick off my mates for liking F1, which they say is 'S*** sport watched by fat old wa*****. Razz

I have just started reading the books, doing it in timeline order I have finished the first book in the forerunner saga, reading that has also made me realise that there is only one class of forerunners in halo 4 which is the warrior servants or prometheans. Where are all the other forerunner classes!?

I hope none of you lot who are looking forward to Halo 4 have one of the 360 4gb models as its been announced that the game comes on 2 disc's, one of which is 8gb and has to be installed to the hdd in order to play the online multiplayer. 250gb HDD FTMFW afro

I learned via Halo4Follower on youtube that some jerk-off at the 343I plant stole a copy of Halo 4 and put it up for torrent on the internet and now people are putting up spoiler vids of full campaign levels and everything

If MS catches people playing Halo 4 before the release date they are set to ban their XBL privileges permanently and its already been happening.

I'm not touching Halo 4, even if it comes early, until the day of release.

I'm also avoiding anything Halo 4 related now in fear of it being spoiled.

I'd be up for doing a campaign run with some TORA folks at some point after release, but I think I am working when Halo 4 does come out and won't be back until the middle of the month. I'm then on a course and going on holiday after that so my time might be limited Sad
