Very happy with preliminary testing in the new car! Running it with stock tune, just all aero taken off!
Car: Mclaren MP4-12C
Track: Catalunya
Time: 1:51.4xx Clean 1:51.3xx Dirty
Hopefully i'll drop into the 50's soon

I've paid attention to the guide, I drive as well as I can think around the track with both TCS and no assists. One lap on one tune, I barely made a 1:52.9. I'm consistently in the 1:53 range though, fastest consistent is in the low to mid 1:53s.

hmmm. I wish I could watch what you are doing, cuz there are so many things that come to mind about where and how I can help you.

ah fudge, no edits... darn. I did have a replay saved when I was testing with Drake Hellspawn (I beat him...shhh) and that would be brilliant for you to watch. darn

I am having the same issues as you and I had the same trouble with the endurance series, no matter how hard I try I cant seem to get within 2-3 seconds of the guys posting times in here but that is why I joined TORA and why I am doing the GT series as I can only improve by racing with everyone here as frustrating as it is to be 3 seconds a lap off of the pace

im with you guys then, thats why i joined this series with so many entrants and more than few lobbies it balances out and your with people on the same pace

Actually my first lap (flying lap of course) without any tuning. Hope to get 1,5 second off with tuning and practicing.

I wouldn't take the times you see here as a true repesentation of the series mate. The majority of the people posting times are in the top 50% of the TORA skillset. There's still a whole heap of people who race and don't bother posting times.

Thanks for the pep talk lol! I just don't want to get in other people's way. I'm not expecting to win any of these races considering this is my first league attempt. I don't wanna get run over either. I'm gonna try the Merc SLS next and see how it dose but I only ran a 1:52.2xx with the MP412-c without the power handicap.

Don't worry at all, I was off the pase last year since it was my first time. U should focus on gettting points for the championship, just because u can't win overall doesn't mean u can still win ur lobby. They are doing an F1 style first qualifying 107% rule. They will some guys who could be slower thsn u. Consistancy is the key.

The 107% rule means that if a drivers time is not within 107% of the pole time, they do not qualify and thus cannot race.

so assuming the Pole time is the fastest time posted here, which is a 1.48.666, the time needed to be under is a 1:56.27

I can do a 1:48 in my sleep... Move over, I'll be on your right... lol.
Oh and regarding the 107% rule, does that mean dirt laps will be automatically over regardless of how fast they are. I would be surprised if anyone didn't qualify unless they get damage or completely blow every lap making it dirty... (Watch I will be the first to be excluded...lol) Cant wait!

There is no 107% rule as far as I know, thats what they use in F1.

Cheers I didn't think it sounded very TORA when it was mentioned that they were running 107%rule in first qualifying.

Really looking forward to this race having let myself down in the endurance race by hitting the wall 3 laps in. Hopefully I can be able to run without 100% aero damage so I can learn from you guys and get faster

Fastest so far is 1:51:989, consistant low 1:52's with -15% hp. Going to redo my build later on and see if i can make a difference.

Got a wheel back and my times are 2 seconds slower and the car feels awful. This isn't good
