The What Makes Me Happy Thread

It has been brought to my attention that some people think that I may complain a bit from time to time. Having reread all my posts, I have no idea of why anyone would say such a thing about me.

I thought that I would try to offset any negative vibes I may have cast by starting a thread that is downright positive, welcome to the official "What Makes Me Happy" thread... let me lead off with a few things about my experiences here at TORA:

Getting to share the track with the best drivers in all of Forza.
Getting the chance to say "To your left/right" to any of them.
Watching someone who has never won win.
Watching someone who rarely wins win.
Watching those used to winning in my rear view mirror.
Razzing Beanz about being smaller in my rear view mirror.
Having PLOW tubbi as my teammate.
Having teammates.
Finishing a 2 hour stint at LeMans with zero damage.
Finishing three consecutive stints at LeMans with zero damage.
Finishing P6 in GT at LeMans.
Passing anyone on the outside.
Seeing green digits in my split timer.
Seeing P1 displayed on my screen.
Holding off a better driver in a faster car for a turn or lap.
Holding off Chaddy for a win.
Having a bad race, but watching a friend win.
Going three wide in the final turn of the final lap of a TASCAR race at Benchmark.
Racing through a turn side by side without contact.
Racing a few laps side by side without contact.
Occasional side to side contact.

That should be a good start.

On a crisp winter day in Glasgow, when I've some time to kill getting into uni, I always get myself a chippy and a glass bottle of Irn-Bru, and walk from Union Street to Byres Road through Blythswood and Charing Cross. The low winter sun at noon illuminates the sandstone buildings and the dew hanging around, it's lovely.

Life outside of TORA:

Watching "my team" win something.
Watching "the team I hate" lose anything.
That perfect day at the beach.
Getting done with a job early.
Getting paid extra when the job goes longer than planned.
When anything goes according to plan.
When something comes out better than expected.
My wife.
My wife naked.
Good Thai food.
Fish tacos.
The first beer at the end of a long hot day.
The first warm day of the year.
The first cool day after a heat wave.
A day at the races.

If that ever goes through, Amsterdam will lose out on major money from tourists big time. People visit Amsterdam all year long. I'm certain that I will be able to, once again, enjoy good weed and take truffles at the zoo in a decades time, easily.

Last time I visited Amsterdam, I had 50 euros to my name (had cash wired after I blew it in Berlin), and had six nights til our flight to Edinburgh. I reckon I spent the whole lot on weed, and scrounged Lidl crisps off my mates. Ended up camping in the eastern hinterlands to save money on accomodation. Great times.
