TEC 2013 Championship

2013 sees MooGin Racing hopefully represented in each of the five TEC events, its safe to say, we wont be winning any Championship's or troubling the higher lobbies, but we shall be plodding around the track pretending to be race car drivers, which we really should know better at our age!!

Unfortunately the sign up process caught us a bit off guard, so our initial selections, well we only got one of them, and in the SRT Viper, that certainly wasnt one that we was looking at due to it being good, more a drivers obsession. The other two, well the Lamborghini was a popular second choice amongst the drivers, and we have certainly got a good strong line up there. The third car was really a scrapping the barrel at's what was left and well, it turned out to be the Aston Martin DBR9, which the thought of running a car that sounds like a group of mechanical wasps have got trapped under the bonnet, for a couple of hours at a time, well sounds like pure hell.

MGR 1 then, you will notice the catchy titles here, a long and extensive thought process went into it. The paint on the car keeps changing, as does the driver line up, but hopefully its finally settled as MGR Davey, MGR S7EVEN, Velox Rusty and P Friks running a session also. Theres no doubting this car is quick here, MGR Davey had the best qualifying time of the group was MGR Davey with a mid 2:04.

MGR 2 is the Alpine Lamborghini, and the strongest line up for this event, lead by MGR Iceman who simply loves the quicker stuff and has been doing times in the 2:03's. Joining him is El Presidente Of MooGin Racing himself in MGR Ginge, with one of the newer recruits in MGR Jeep as the third driver.

At the timing, yet to qualify, due to the tricky work schedules, but they with be ready, willing and able to go come Saturday at 14:00 GMT.

Last but not least, MGR 3 and the SRT Viper, not a car, more a one man obsession as MGR LIghtning would have probably aimed at all 12 hours if he could. Thankfully the VM Classics and the Nordscheife Finale is on the same time, so Spartan LXVIII and MGR Wheelwash have popped along to lend a hand as well.

Certainly a tough car around Sebring, but a nice simple easy drive, safe to say, not quick, but it will be there fighting at the end.

A new experience then is a coming, the teams are ready, the cars are painted, in the case of the Aston, more than once, there tuned and the drivers are psyched, so let the 12 Hours Of Sebring begin.
