Sports Car Club Classic Series Empty Sports Car Club Classic Series

Post by Ax4x Mikey J Thu 4 Apr 2013 - 16:59

I have been pondering a possible series for the sort of classic sports cars that fill the paddocks of club race meets worldwide. Small, lightweight, low powered coupes and roadsters mostly of 1960s vintage, with some late 50s/early 70s models as well. I know most of the roadsters are DLC, which is what lead me to the add of coupes to the mix.

Austin Healey Sprite and 3000 MKIII
Alfa Guilia
BMW 507 and 2002 (Turbo-Glitched)
Chevrolet Corvair
Datsun 510 and 240z
Lotus Cortina
MG MGA and GT
Porsche 914-6
Toyota 2000
Triumph TR3B
Volkswagen Karmann Ghia

Seeing as these cars would require build and tune for equalization as well as realism, I am unsure if they would properly fit in a Friday Spec Series... but may be a good fit for the Tuesday slot once TCC/NATCC has run its course.

Comment away...

Stock Car Do Brasil - DTM Astras with the restrictors removed, and drag tyres Wink

But back to the classics: http://forums.theonlineracingassociation.com/t8670-tora-classic-european-sports-and-saloons-63-73-discussion-thread

Your plan looks a lot like division two, you can use this if you like.

Adrian, I know of your series. This is more along the lines of amateur club racing with yours being more of a pro race from long ago.

Kilroy, this won't overlap most of the series on that list, as it won't happen until mid-late summer or fall. Well after V8s and DTM are done at least, as those series have five races to go. And hoping sometime after TCC as well.
