This happened last night only a few hours away from were i live. Looks like it was a fire that just sat it off. No real news on deaths yet. The conspiracy nut jobs are having a field day though.

Woah glad to see you're alright mate. Not a great advert for America in the past week.

Today someone hung themselves near my school. Would it be unethical to ask if it was my Chemistry teacher? He was absent today.

Yeah this looks like a straight accident unless someone started the fire. The fertilizer is anhydrous ammonia, the same thing that was used in the Oklahoma city bombing. no telling how much was in the factory that went up. The blast was heard 100 miles away.

I believe fertilizer is used in most home-made bombs. Its like a firework factory catching fire. Not gonna end well. I'm not sure now, but this morning (In Britain) it was reported that 5-15 people have been killed.

Yeah thats how many they are estimating. They are still searching though they are worried about the ammonia thats being released into the air harming the rescuers. No idea what caused the fire yet. They are missing 4 firefighters, They were already there fighting the fire when it went up.

This happened earlier... about 5 minutes drive away from where I work, and also quite near my grandparents. Unheard of for this area too.

Prayers sent to the injured and the families of the victims. Took out much of the town. Unfathomable.

Oh my, it's not going well this week pale

I found some more videos of the explosion. This is probably bigger, and far more dangerous, than some military grade stuff. Don't mess with ammonia. Ever.

Sh1t really has hit the fan this week... Explosions all over the place. Something in Iraq, India as well, also Boston of course.

Let's just hope everyone's a-ok...

that [Censored] is scary, in chemistry last year my teacher was doing a safety demo with different chemicals, and he knows what's what, he's been doing it for 50 something years, and had like 5-10 ml of ammonia gas, in a container in a container, let the spark go (electrical pulse to light the gas was the safest way, and only the 5 or 10 ml made the container burst and put a small dent in the outer one, it's insane.

thoughts our going out to all the unfortunate residents caught in the blast and the fireman and paramedics engufled and killed in the blast. truely shocking, it's terrible
hoping for a better future for everyone over the pacific
