This was the combination of lots of curves, small tires, a loose car, lack of TCS. SPEC 2 should be interesting. Back to the body shop. Thought it would be smart to have the medics check out my shoulder after that hit on the wall.

After the successful first season of the TORA Spec Cup in the 1998 VW Golf, im back for more and this time i have a friend as well as im joined by ATP Steamy for the series. The weapon of choice this time around, its back to the recycling bin for the paint and the TORA VLN at the Nurburgring Nordscheife last year and a certain MicroSte and MGR Wheelwash teaming up for the event in this wee number in November.

Unfortunately the SP2 Class didnt make it to the TEC Nordscheife event the following month, so the Siemens VDO BMW M3 went away into the garage of MicroSte and started gathering dust. Thankfully though, he saved the paint, just incase and on the announcement of the 1997 BMW E36 for Season Two of the Spec Cup, he had the idea of bringing it back for the series and he converted it onto the older version of the car.

It is of course a sort of replica of the Schnitzer Motorsport BMW that won the 24hr race at the Nordscheife back in 2004, with Dirk and Jorg Muller, Pedro Lamy and someone else that i simply cant remember in the vaults of pointless trivia. Testing has been going well so far for one of us, the other is still a work in progress, but with a few weeks still before the off at Road Atlanta, the cars will be ready and waiting on July 3rd to start season two hopefully in a more positive way than Wheelwash ended Season One, bringing the Kamei VW Golf home in a couple of thousand pieces in bin bags.

Just over a week to go for the start of this series, and well its a quiet week for myself this week so i been catching up on the Wheelwash Racing & Media Facebook Page and popping this up as an event, and well i was pretty happy with the outcome of the Facebook header for the opening couple of rounds and thought i would share it to hopefully get you in the mood for next Wednesday.

I must admit, im not the biggest fan of BMW's, but im enjoying this one, keeps you on your toes and will rip your face off if you step over the limit.

The opening rounds of Season Two in the TORA Spec Cup saw Braselton's finest welcoming the teams and drivers in the 1997 BMW E36 M3's, as Road Atlanta Club Circuit played host to the opening two rounds. The car is a whole different challenge to the VW Golf in Season One, i will admit, for a RWD drive man myself, it is a good fun car, that is more than capable of making you look silly if you try too much, basically, it bites back and the practice sessions have seen quite an abundance of grass tracking and panel scrapping going on, finding the limits of the car.

Now unfortunately, when im compiling my reports, i have usually taken a few notes as my memory has never worked too well, and i havent been too well over the last week or so, plus not having access to the laptop at the time and not grabbing the details from the Live Timing page in time, im kind of going in a bit blind here this week, so i shall apologize for the lack of details this week and just bamboozle you all with some pretty pictures, i remember some stuff like the fastest lap in the two races was Agnus Rules in the Gulf BMW that in Round Two did a 1:02:533 which sounded like it was just one of those laps of perfection that we all enjoy from time to time. I cant actually remember who won the races though, lol. I think PLOW Tubbi and XPR Mad Dog shared the spoils last night, but i simply cant remember, damn meds, lol!!

As i say, cant remember who actually won last night, but they were having some good close action in both races, so a picture of both leading the other should cover the bases nicely.

o MeaDo212 o is back for season two, now in Allied Forces colours and looking rather smart

Bli33ard was our race lobby host for the evening and a tremendous job as usual, like all lobby hosts involved, Knows how to light up those Continental Tyres as well, a couple of sideways moments along the way.

he wasnt the only one, XBR Immortal was caught on camera showing us the drifting skills

Good friends of Wheelwash Racing & Media made there TORA debuts last night, with Madnotmad Racing's MNM Fenboy and artiste ApexAzrael both making Lobby One in the Vortex Raceflo M3's

Theres a few more photos on the Wheelwash Racing & Media Facebook Page and if time allows, i will hopefully add a few more, but i have a busy few days unfortunately and not feeling fully fit, i wont promise anything this week, but next up is Sebring International and the Club Circuit next Wednesday evening, where i hope to be in attendance, and maybe even remember who won the races, which would be nice!!
