Watch replays of the times on the leaderboards before you practice. Those lines they take are better than the real life lines you will find on Youtube. Pay attention to gearing and experiment.

You'll also notice as you move along that cars do get close to the inside wall in both real life and in game on Turn 17. There was a bit of discussion on that but the rule was never really clarified by anyone as to what they meant. Could you not run wide and cut in or could you not just cut in?

Braking points are also way different in real life.
