You know you want to watch it.

This, is Driven. A 2001 movie based off CART. You will have heard many references to how bad it is in the past, and it's a fantastically bad movie.

If you've never seen it, and you have two hours to spare, then give it a go. Watch it as a comedy, it goes down easier!

im in lecture right now, I will have to remind myself to watch it later, although I have a feeling i've watched it before, but I don't remember.

Burt Reynolds & Sly Stallone? Ring any bells?

My mum picked this up for £5 around the time and wondered if it was good (my mum loves F1 too, actually, but she's quite naive so she bought this).

I've never been so horrified yet entertained by a movie's SFX. Absolute twoddle. That coinflip scene at Long Beach done it for me.

Name me a good racing w/o a love story, I still like this movie. Hollywood won't ever match it to exact physics but the stretch makes it fun to watch. IMO, the quarter and humming is kinda cool and interesting.

My Dad bought it for us on DVD. Its dreadful.

Come on lol I like the play on a young driver finding the focus and desire to win, w/o involving a girl. The grind of real racing is hard on new drivers any driver, especially if the hit a streak of great finishes, and how they played the sport to like a family when even rivals may help each other.... But Oh well I like it :p

Oh before I forget, I think the manhole thing is possible. There is smaller plastic one in my parking lot at work if i hit it fast enough(15-20mph) that it flies out of the ground as seen in the movie

Death race 2000 with also Stallone and Carradine.
Le Mans with Mc Queen.

Ok, tiny bit with women in it....

I am an absolute fan of Stallone( my cats are called Rambo and Rocky) but Driven is for me without a doubt the baddest movie I have ever seen.....

ya, I would say Le Mans too, cuz nothing ever happens with Michael and that girl. I think he was just trying to make it up to her for being involved in the accident that killed her Husband. I don't even think they hold hands! lol

not forgetting how much of a poor actor stalone is its not actually a bad film.

Actually, I think a manhole cover got jarred at one of the street circuits in Indycar this season. While not as dramatically as in Driven, it caused problems for teams and officials alike.

My main issue with the film is exaggerations of... just about everything.

The DTM went to Shanghai in 2004 ahead of the first ever GP there, and there was a short street track built in the city, certain F1 cars would do promotional laps, and the DTM were meant to run 2 x 30 minute sprint races that didn't count towards the 2004 season.

Race 1, lap one, and immediately after the start, the surge of 19 dtm cars lifted up one of the manholes, this is what followed when the 20th dtm car managed to get off the line...



...as for driven, I wouldn't watch it with someone elses eyes.
