I have long thought about the use of controllers against Wheels, and it seems totally un- sim to use a controller. Oh! i know you all like to go as fast as possible and beat those stratasferic (excuse my spelling) times but it just feels wrong.

when i pick up he xbox controller it makes me feel like some little kid who cant be bothered to learn how to drive, not someone who in the real world has been driving a car for 30 years. I know not everyone can afford a wheel, but you can still get an MS wheel fairly cheap. those who are serious abou thier racing will save for a Fanatec.

so, do you consider yourself a sim racer or a somone who cant get past using the controller and producing totally non realistic lap times.

I can't use the controller now after years of using a wheel. I seriously struggle to not lock brakes, not spin the wheels and keep a smooth control of the car using the controller. However, at this moment in time I would wait as we sill don't know if the current Fanatec wheels will be compatible with the new Xbox or if we will need to buy a specific Thrustmaster for it. I think the Fanatecs will work with the PS4 however.

Was holding out on a Fanatec until this whole Xbone compatibility debacle is explained. If not then I hope this Thrustmaster will work on the PC.

My parents refuse to get me one and I don't have the money for one (and the only reason I'm not getting the MS wheel is because I haven't heard good things about it). I'm just going to have to wait to see what the XBOX One is compatible with before getting a wheel.

No matter what it's a video game, so the device you're using doesn't really make you more of a racer. Besides, you can still run plenty quick lap times with a wheel.

If you want to feel like someone who's been driving a car for thirty years, drive a car.
