Hi guys, question for the Americans amongst us

I'm going to a training session for an American Football team in my area. Having spoken to the bloke running it he believes I would be a useful half back. Now, I do watch a fair bit of NFL but don't have the slightest clue when it comes to playing the game, so if anyone has any tips they'd be greatly appreciated before I go down and get my head kicked in :-D

Half-backs come in many shapes and sizes and it depends what sort of duties they would want you to take on and how the team lines up on offense.

It should be fairly easy to pick up with some good coaching and putting in some effort to learn the playbook.

I'd agree but I quite like the idea of wearing pads and a lid :-)

But seriously the only team near me is run by tossers
