Middlehurst Motorsport announces entry to TORA BTCC Season Two.

Middlehurst Motorsport in association with Nissan Motorsports International and AG Tuning, are very pleased to announce their entry into the 2009 Season of the TORA British Touring Car Championship.

Team Principal Butuz said: “it has been several years since Nissan Motorsports and Middlehurst worked together to enter a BTCC championship. Middlehurst St Helens have been in long negotiations with Nissan Europe and NISMO Europe and are extremely pleased with the eventual decision to field a full strength Nissan Works team. It is a credit to the hard work of Dealer Principal, A,Middleburst, and the rest of the Middlehurst team that Nissan are confident in fully backing our entry to the 09 Season even though the season is half way though.”

Butuz continued: “During the 1990s, Middlehurst with limited backing from Nissan UK have been very successful in entering British National Saloon Car Championship and British Touring Car Championship events, with several season wins over the years. Now with Nissan Europe’s and NISMO Europe’s full backing – we aim to really show what Nissan can achieve in touring cars.”

The team are entering two Nissan Sentras into the championship driven by Team Principal Butuz and Lead Driver KING HILL01.

Butuz explained the reason for using the USDM based Sentra: “Due to the lateness of our entry we were unable to get the UK 2010 Primera homologated in time. This forced us to to use the US-based 2007 Sentra SE-R Spec-V. This car should be competitive this season whilst also acting as a test bed for 2010 as many of the Sentra’s parts are interchangable with the Primera. The Sentra has a very strong FWD chassis, and a strong engine which responds well to tuning. This forms the basis of any touring car.
