MSA TORA TASCAR Season 4 - Discussion

Had a very nice run with u guys at Road Atlanta.:3 Pit Strategy kinda screwed me over but I had lots of fun and look forward to Motegi.

Glad that's over, my worst race out of the final 3. Now its time to put the hammer down.

So i told Mark back in week 2? it was going to be close. regretting that statement.

now only 3 drivers can claim the title, and the only thing to do is win the finale.

Mark and I broke it down, and its a pretty elaborate scenario that entails ties and tie breakers between the top 3.

Unfortunately, we cannot stay on old tech forever. After this season, TASCAR will make the jump onto the XBOX ONE, but which title is still TBD. could either be FM5 or pCARS depending on what's available by the time i make a decision. for instance: what little i know of the pCARS car list, there could be a chance at a "Vintage TASCAR" for season 5 with their "classic nascar" vehicle, the Caper Monterey (rebadged Chevy Lumina). but for all i know, they could even have the Gen-6 cars by launch. i heard they got the Ford Fusion Gen-6 car, but i'm not sure of the Chevy SS or Toyota Camry..., and i believe any "Stock Car" has yet to grace the FM5 dlc packs. And Mountain Dew tweeted that Dale Jr's #88 Chevy SS would be in fm5 last year prior to the game/console launch.

I better make sure i get pcars in that case

i think the worst part is track selection. both games dont carry a lot of ovals, if any.

i cannot confirm this, but entirely through hear-say, pCARS has a few from what i've been told, i.e. Dover, Lowe's/Charlotte, Daytona (including the Rolex 24hr layout)

including Indy, will this could change everything....

Project CARS track list from GTPlanet:

- Henrico - Richmond
- Indianapolis Speedway *
- Memphis - Bristol

There's also the classic Monza oval. Even with a 1990 stockcar it could still have great potential. And that's already 2 more than FM4 with actual real tracks. There's also Watkins Glen, Road America, Sonoma to complete the NASCAR road calender. There could also be room in there for tracks like Willow Springs

Hell, we could probably enjoy a "TASCAR Asia/Oceania" miniseries, assuming tracks like Adelaide, Fuji, and Barbagallo make the list.

The thought of TASCAR at Bathurst is enough to justify me buying the console and game!

Adelaide isn't confirmed but my god do I wanna drive it! More Australian circuits need to be on the calendar, like in Toca 3

I don't think TASCAR is fit for FM5, certainly not at the minute. No stock cars and the only oval is Indy

The lack of ovals is also quite frustrating in regards to a potential Indycar series too

We're talking about Project CARS, though.

no worries Kilroy. this is why there's a discussion thread. i know at this point in time, FM5 is indeed lacking in the "Stock Car" department, which is the reason i'm leaning towards pCARS, with the 'classic' Chevy/Caper, and already larger confirmed oval track listing. but once this season is over after this weekend, and the final TEC event at Silverstone next month has wrapped up, i will bid adieu to the XB360, and give FM5 another venture before pCARS is released in November to put both through their paces before any solid decision

PCARS has Bristol. That is enough to sell the idea to me without the others!

PCARS has cars.  That's enough for me.

BUT how does the game feel. I don't want to drive something lame and cartooney feeling.

No one can say how the game feels. Besides its made for a PC with a wheel. Anything beyond that is a shot in the drak until we see and here about the beta testing on consoles...
