VM Super Taikyu Series 1
Forza Motorsports 5 racing action returns to the Sunday evening slot once more at Virtual Motorsports. We are proud to bring you a completely new event to the table featuring a variety of cars to be raced over 8 weekly races which should bring action, competition and amazing racing memories to the table. The Virtual Motorsports Super Taikyu Series 1 is themed on it's real life counterpart and Series 1 at Virtual Motorsports offers you the ride in one of 18 cars which you may find in the Real Life Super Taikyu Series, all 3 drivetrains are on offer in this Series also, so if you prefer FWD, RWD or AWD, there is a car for you! The mostly Japanese stable of cars range in performace from B-552 to A-605 in PI and have been balanced over the past few months to keep the cars as close as possible.
Racing on Forza Motorsport 5 on Sundays at 14:00 CDT / 20:00 BST / 05:00 AEST, the series will feature iconic racing circuits from around the world, starting at the American street circuit, Long Beach Grand Prix on the 3rd August before heading off to France for Race 2 at Le Mans Bugatti Circuit. Race 3 will take the Taikyu parade to Road America before finishing the first half of the series at Catalunya Grand Prix. Race 5 takes us back to the US once more at Road Atlanta plays host before the long trip to Spa in Belgium entertains us in Race 6. Race 7 will take place back over in the US at Sebring International Raceway before we head over to Abu Dhabi for the final Race of the Series at Yas Marina Full, a sensational end to the Series in classy style!
Series 1 will feature 3 championships to contest, with all drivers being entered into at least 2. All drivers will participate in the Drivers Championship but away from this, they will also do battle in either the Teams or Privateers Championship, depending on their entry situation. Of course, team members must run the same paint job but don't have to race the same car.
Working alongside Turn 10, the series is officially sponsored and will feature DLC and in-game credits to be won by the drivers. Those skilled, or lucky enough to finish in the top 10 of the Drivers Championship will earn themselves a share of the credits available. As well as one lucky participant selected at random who has completed at least 7 out of 8 races overall will win a Forza 5 DLC Code of his choice.
Series 1 of Super Taikyu event at Virtual Motorsports will begin on the 3rd August with the series finale on the 21st September. 8 rounds of racing the Super Taikyu cars alongside your rivals and a roster of 18 carefully balanced touring class cars with all 3 drivetrains coming into play, is sure to be as diverse as it is exciting!
