TORA Pro GT - PCars Buildup Race

With the Championship behind us and a slight delay on Project Cars, we have the opportunity to plan a one off race which would serve as a "build up" for Project Cars. This event would most likely run on the Saturday either a week, or two weeks prior to PCAR's UK release.

The question is, what track? We have listed 3 tracks that -
A. Weren't used in Pro GT
B. Are long enough for 1 stint to be at least nearly 250KM's
C. Do not have easily exploitable track limits

I haven't actually had a race at Road America since joining TORA, that's where my vote sits

I've voted for Road America as I've not raced there with GT cars before and I think the long straights and big braking zones could make for some awesome racing. Catalunya is looking to win right now though, either is gonna be great though

I actually just found and finished watching the 1993 Piggly Wiggly Grand Prix, which was 500 km of Road America, so you know where my vote is. It was IMSA Camel GTP and Camel Lights. Good race. Almost more entertaining than the racing were all of the commercials that were left in the recording.

(As some background info, Piggly Wiggly is a grocery store here in the states that sponsored the race.)

Road America has provided some amazing racing here in the past so it received my vote

You could just turn off the end race timer

It's already off. Unfortunately that's not in the cards for this, but you won't have to wait long once PCAR's is out

Colin, what about using the bucket system. This should sort the groups and with end of race timer being set to off would allow recording all the results from bucket "A" then shortly after recording the results from bucket b. Could also organize it to ensure it is still multiclass with stints if you say have a total of 20 entries, (2 lobbies of 10) you could have the top 5 lmp cars and the top 5 gt cars in that lobby and then the remainder in the other lobby....

I have no clue if this would work but seems like an interesting way to do things.

I personally don't think LMP's would be a good addition. This is a GT series, not the WEC or LMS. It would be like adding prototypes to the Blancpain Endurance Series, it would be ruined.
