WIX Racing TCC - Round Two (Lime Rock South) - Drivers Briefing/Discussion

Welcome to the second round of WIX Racing TCC!  I would once again apologize for the delays last week, and to say that we should have everything figured out now...in theory.  This week we are at the Lime Rock Park South Chicane Course.  This variation is very similar to the full Lime Rock course with the only difference being a small chicane up hill.  Lime Rock Park has hosted a lot of different type of racing over the years, and has a reputation of being a family-friendly place since race spectators are encouraged to picnic on the hills that overlook the track since it has no grand stands.  


Qualifying - This will be the typical "6 laps and out" qualifying.  Drivers will have 1 warm-up laps, 4 flying laps, and 1 cool down lap during which drivers will park on Turn 1 (literally called Big Bend) were lobby hosts will collect times.  Remember that drivers should be/appear online 15 minutes prior to qualifying start, and should keep in-lobby chat to a minimal.  


Race - There will be two races in an evening, and each will last around 25 minutes.  For Lime Rock South, that will be 22 laps.  Race One will form up on the grid in the order in which the competitors qualified.  Race Two will form up on the grid in the order in which the competitors finished Race One.  There will be no mandatory pit stops during the races, but the pits will be open if your car becomes damaged.
NOTE: Until the "inactivity" issue is addressed, we will be offically switching from standing starts to  "safety car" starts.  For safety car starts, drivers will organize themselves into a rolling start and will drive around the track at 40 mph.  When drivers pass the pit entrance on the Sam Posey Straight, the driver on poll can start the race by simply saying go whenever he wants.

As noted by Ben, we will run this race with safety car starts until we have official confirmation the inactivity bug has been fixed.
I would expect this to be done before round 3.

Please also note, care is to be taken around the South Chicane. Please use some common sense when driving through that area of the track. It is tight and is most likely to be single file.

We are also hopeful of a fix to the replay issue from Brands Hatch but am awaiting news from the devs about this.

Are sign ins closed? Just signed up for the series and was hoping to run tonight (Already got a car sorted), But noticed the sign in thread says that it closes at 8am race day?

In, where is the sign in?

Yet again my phone won't bring up the sign in sheet which is undoubtedly now closed.
Could someone inform me if I'm racing tonight?

I'm afraid they were yes.

Ah right okay. Just seemed odd as the google document was still open and accepting new entries. Tried to submit, But guessing it wouldn't allow it as my sign up hadn't been confirmed at that point. Shame, The first TORA series I'm actually about for and now its not worth doing after missing the first 2 rounds.

Current issue in lobbies that some people cant be heard
