Fuel wont be an issue with my Chevy Nova, keeping the rear tyres from turning red with a whacking smile on the face, yeah slightly more tricky!!

A rough night in the UK leg of the American Iron Round, its come to my conclusion that the Chevy Nova isnt the biggest fan of corners, so Sonoma was always looking like a rough night, it started well enough, a personal best in qualifying, which with the two lap format i was more than happy with, and with the car able to do the race on just the one fuel stop, there was hope.

Thirty five laps later, a clean car, one fuel stop and a 20th place finish, basically i got my ass kicked completely, lapped by half the field, lapped twice by fifth place. The front tyres and the steering wheel had different ideas on taking a corner after a few laps, getting the power down wasnt easy either. All in all, im starting to think that being the only Chevy Nova has a reason behind it.

To say that my American Iron dream around the greatest roadcourse in the world in my biased opinion in Road America went bad would be an understatement. The EU version i couldnt make as my body decided to stop working properly about an hour before kick off time, i did manage to make the North American version, but feeling like utter crap while floating at 28,000 feet, only to mess up qualifying and then not be able to get in the race lobby as Forza's servers, JohnGalt117 and myself try every possible combination, it just wasnt having any of it, so i ended up missing the race to boot.

I did take a few shots before throwing the Xbox Controller into the wall, from the EU lobby.

I havent been able to run in the American Iron Championship for the past fortnight due to illness and hospitals, but thankfully fit and well for the Watkins Glen International round on the Short Course, which i will admit is a particular favourite of mine.

The EU version didnt start well, my out lap being my only clean lap and the Chevy Nova just couldnt stretch the one stop strategy, to bridge the gap, which at the end of the 36 lapper, saw me finishing 12th of fourteen that started. The bonus was the paints on display, an excellent collection i thought this evening.

The final round of the American Iron Series saw a trip to Georgia and the fantastic Road Atlanta Circuit, a track for straight line speed, but agility and grace through The Esses, and its safe to say, as expected to be honest, the Chevy Nova in the EU Timezone provided some unique angles of corner entry through the twisty bits, but hey, it didnt finish last thanks mainly to its sipping on fuel meaning a one stop shot against the Chargers which were two stop bound.
