4th Annual TORA INDY 500 Race Thread

If you qualified for the race it is automatically assumed you are "IN" for the race. If you don't show everyone who is below you will be bumped up in the grid order (So those who just missed out of qualifying in the top 33 you still have a chance)

Race Instructions. 2 warm up laps and we will start racing with a 3 X 3 Start. Someone in the lobby (Preferably the lobby host or Marshal) remember the race time that the pole sitter crosses the start finish line. This can be shouted out for all to hear so hopefully more than 1 person will be able to remember.

All drivers will complete all 200 laps of the race. when you cross the finish line to complete lap 202 and start 203 (laps 1-2 are warm up laps and lap 203 is the cool down lap) it is up to YOU to remember what the total race time is for YOUR race. This is very important for gathering results. If you cannot remember or don't get that piece of information you will be scored behind all others that do remember their total race time. Those who did this event last year know exactly how this works and all this information will be started numerous times through out the race.

Warm up lap speed and where the acceleration point is for the start of the race will be disclosed in the lobby before the race starts.

Special instruction for Lobby D, you may run safety cars if you so wish. this may change if on the slim chances some of you get bumped up into the top 33 grid.

The race starts 1 pm eastern time right? Can someone maybe confirm the me whether this is 5 or 6 pm UK time?

So I am 100% sure:

1) the lobby will be set to 203 laps (different from last year)
2) we need a capture of crossing the finish line while completing 202 laps, and that time is our evidence. even if second place sees first place crossing the line first and confirms it, the first place finisher must produce evidence?

Might want to have the start time posted clearly somewhere Louis. The registration thread has the start time listed as 1PM EST currently, which is sounds like is incorrect. Last thing we need is people turning up an hour after the actual start.

1) last year it was set to mileage because we didn't have a lap counter go beyond 50 laps if you remember, so we set it so that green flag fell on mile 10 (Completion of lap 2.) raced until completion of mile 510 (Completion of lap 202) and had a cool down lap after that (Lap 203) so now that we have laps we can go off of that instead of miles.

2)Not a screen shot or anything to provide proof, if you can remember your finish time then that is sufficient as long as you can say what it is when asked for it (just like we did last year). it's if you can't remember or pay attention and we have no number to plug in when we ask for it will it effect you.

If i said 1PM Eastern first then we will go off of that. at least some will now be ready 1 hour early. sorry for the confusion couldn't remember if i had it posted because of the abnormal amount of times i was asked during qualifications.

That will be subtracted from the race time, so you need to remember what time the race started.
