Due to a late contractual issue THR's GT3 campaign will not be running with the Aston Martin DBS. A late deal with Mercedes sees the British team fielding three Mercedes SL65 AMG's. These cars are brand new to GT racing and THR, a team used to the unknown, will be developing the car as the season progresses but it is felt the car will yield strong results. This deal is part of a buy in by Mercedes into THR. Team owner jenson does retain majority share ownership however.
Rather than alter any of THR's current racing activities the buy in will result in financial benefits fo each of the THR racing arms but minimal changes in control.
