R1 Steward Enquiry #2 - Lobby C - Lap 8 Incident Between BrnoutJerzey and lfcnicklfc

The second Steward Inquiry of Round 1: Silverstone International has been concluded. This incident was caused due to lfcnicklfc rejoining the track after an incident, and straight infront of Brnoutjerzey.

After all of the evidence has been reviewed many times, a conclusion has been made. No driver has (or will be) penalised due to this incident. There was nothing that lfcnicklfc could do once on the grass due to the speed he was at. However, I will stress a word of caution to not only nick, but to all drivers. This incident was caused because of nick trying to overtake on the outside of a turn. Please can all drivers make sure that if they are going to attempt an overtake, extreme caution must be used at all times.

From this incident, another question was drawn, could Brnout have avoided the out-of-control car of lfcnicklfc? This question was very much looked into by all stewards, and concluded that Brnout could have braked earlier than he did. Having said that, the cars were travelling at a fast pace, and any action would probably have not been enough. Due to this, there will be no penalty to this driver. Again, a word of caution will be said. At everytime a driver must be on guard. All cars ahead of him were bunched up, so you must expect the unexpected. Be on the lookout for potential dangers.
