Re: TCC Meeting 6 - Sebring Short - Discussion Thread
Went well for me tonight, a nice good points haul. Wasn't sure where my Qually time would put me as I had no idea what times to expect.
I soon got warmed up and was running consistent mid 17's.
Shame about Chillz not racing, but he does have more important things to do now days.
Gashi, would be interesting to know what setup you were running. Was it an older setup by myself/Chillz or was it something you worked up for that race? I was running the 333hp setup that i believe i sent you for Iberian. Make sure you send me a msg if you need a setup, with F1 2010 out...Forza doesn't get played...So i need reminding.

Re: TCC Meeting 6 - Sebring Short - Discussion Thread
Well it was an interesting, enjoyable meeting. There was so much going on over the 3 races its hard to remember it all! This configuration of Sebring isn't my favourite, especially in this type of car. It took me a lot of practice to get a feel of the place and even then turn 1 has been a bit of a lottery for me, being just a case of turn in and hope!
Qualifying was over a second off my PB which is sod's law.
Race 1 had two safety car periods, of which I was caught up in one of them, but given the nature of the circuit I'm not that surprised. I find the nature of the track to be a knife edge under normal circumstances let alone battling with someone. Dave Percival was uncatchable, but there was a good scrap for 2-3-4-5. I ended up 5th, but showing my F1 geekery now the finish reminded me of the finish of the 1969 Italian Grand Prix.
Race 2 was a little scrappy, with taps here and there seeing me down in 8th early on. A combination of getting my head down in clear air and close battles ahead slowing things down I was able to get up into 4th at the end so was happy with that.
Race 3 was quite eventful, particularly for my team mate TheFLC who managed to barrel roll at the first corner. I had my own problems when I was just having a look at Rich coming up to the braking zone for turn 2 when I locked my brakes and couldn't stop. So my apologies to him. The rest of the race was quite good, I managed to get my head down and work my way up to second by the end of the race and getting to within a few tenths of my PB.
Good fun and I'm looking forward to the next event.

might have slightly dented Seat Leon for sale.. Its heavy and slow.. corners like a battleship..
Re: TCC Meeting 6 - Sebring Short - Discussion Thread
my car was a good bit better in the turns i just couldnt overtake but i was getting overtaken on the striaghts far to easyly. i dont know wat happens if i do another car change but its just not going to work if the rst of the cars have the same turning grip but faster top ends.

Slim, I was running the Iberian setup. It was very good in my opinion and needed no changes. We seemed slow on the straights, but the corner speed more than made up for it.
Sorry I missed race 2, as I was picking my son up from the bus stop. And then really mad about the third race. I mean really. Lol.

I watched the replay last night and it looked like you where getting 310 Hp ish... but I was cruising past you or away from you on that back straight.. I was expecting a much lower Hp??
My car was just too heavy in the corners.. As I proved with a bit of practicing with Chucky @Mugello.. couldn’t hold any sort of line through the final turn @Sebring
Re: TCC Meeting 6 - Sebring Short - Discussion Thread
Congratulations to Dave Percival on his outright win in race three.
Had a fairly decent night, squeezed into A lobby in qualy and ran some decent times, but while the car was blistering on the straights, it really struggled with hellish understeer in the corners, particularly the right-hander onto the back straight. Was losing a lot of time in the last corner too, braking a lot earlier than most of the other guys, and when I tried to brake late, I was putting it into the wall, almost. Twice I scraped the tyres that way and came away without damage!
Still, we continue to hold on to 5th place in the teams championship, but the lack of Mugen drivers at the meetings sees Ten-Tenths Motorsport close to within 5 points despite their late start.

Re: TCC Meeting 6 - Sebring Short - Discussion Thread
But thatz wat im saying ive got over 300hp and yet im passed like im not moving in the fast bits. i just couldnt overtake as theres only really one line round most of the track and even if i got the last turn right i was still passed of the home straight.
Race 1 i finished where the car should have finished all races (altho second looked more on than thrid Chucky!)
Race 2&3 had stupid crashes that stopped me moving forward as most cars where slower in the turns
