Rumors have been circulating around the racing community as one of TORA's most prominent, loyal teams opens up their garage for the first time in a long while. Said rumors involve XTI Avenger, a driver who has earned himself deep respect at TORA, dusting off the helmet and participating in a very limited schedule for the highly-anticipated MSA Summer GT. All that Avenger had to say about the scenario was that "it has been a long time since I last participated in a TORA event with the final races of those seasons not turning out as well as hoped. However, it is hard to stay away from here and with all the "throw-backs" planned, it seemed like a great time to make a slight return." No car selections have been made public yet, as testing is set to continue until selection day as well as long after that. Similarly, there is no definite paint scheme set, although some leaked details lead us to believe that the XM Radio paint used in the second half of the 2009 GTC will make a comeback. According to Avenger, the paint will be "interesting to recreate" as a different paint shop will most likely be used. Final comments by Avenger included, "Sad to not see the Panoz on the car list as that would be the most ideal car for our throw-back, but we'll survive. We'll probably just use a car similar in handling, power and buildtype as our old Panoz." When asked about loyal teammate XTI Nightrider, all Avenger could say was "hopefully and possibly."
