Live Bathurst, SPEED TV and Darrel Waltrip.
Listen up American viewers! SPEED will be sending their own commentary crew, and they will have their own US friendly TV graphics, which will use Imperial measurements rather than the Metric system used by the majority of the modern world....

Okay, DARREL WALTRIP is doing the commentary.
Man, they really are going all out to show off the V8's ahead of the 2013 Texas race!

^Some of the Nascar races in the southwest region are actually in Km. I believe the Phoenix race is 500km.

Re: Live Bathurst, SPEED TV and Darrel Waltrip.
Yeah, i've heard of American races using the metric system before.
But when it comes to KPH and Litres, i'd imagine a lot of American's would find that hard to relate to. In Britain we use a sort of weird mix between Imperial and Metric units, we are taught to measure in metres at school, yet on our motorways, signs use miles and metres, rather than kilometres and metres!
It took me a while to get my head round KPH!
I do sometimes find it hard to believe that the USA still uses Imperial measurements exclusively.

Re: Live Bathurst, SPEED TV and Darrel Waltrip.
HELL YEAH.
i feel like americans could really get into V8 supercars...think about...an australian/american V8 supercar championship...you got the commodore, the falcon, the camaro, and the mustang.
it's all the same platform anyway. the body is just different. and on those tube frame chassis. it'd be easy to swap out body work. it'd be like nationwide series car shapes, and they'd look amazing in GT trim with a big wing and bodywork.
imagine the back straight at road atlanta :omg:
