Re: TORA MSA N24 Discussion
Regarding the start.
Over at the VM site I was running in their ALMS series which ran a race here.
The format they used for their start was to turn all the cars around and drive back to the last corner where they formed up in grid order. Easier with only 8 cars.
They then started their rolling start and the "go" would be around the real start point.
I know thats not what we're doing but could be food for thought.

Re: TORA MSA N24 Discussion
Not ideal, as we will have 2 lobbies run like the ISCC, so total race time is very important. Also we will have people who have to start from pit lane that fail to qualify ( following up at the back of the field and making a pit stop right at the start of the race).
However, somthing we can consider for other up and coming events at the ring.

Re: TORA MSA N24 Discussion
Fair points. Wasn't actually aware that even though we will be running two lobbies it will be each competitors time compared to everyone else's. (not run in ISCC)
How does this work with the fast cars running with the slowere cars ? (ETC). Will be these running road blocks be split between lobbies?

I figure if you can beat me in a race with my own tunes, ur doin pretty good.LucidMouse503 wrote:so, im a lil confused, this is my first race with you guys, really excited, its really hard to find people to do eduro's with these days and even harder to find ones that are so well organised. Duke of Bruno has told me so many good this about you guys and all the races you do and when he told me about this race i had to join. anyway, i was reading the rules and regulations early and i saw there was a rolling start, but i didn't understand any of it :s can someone please help me with this? and also, is a 8:05 a good lap time for the GT3 class in a Z4? thanks guys, really excited for the race

Re: TORA MSA N24 Discussion
As this is my first ever enduro race a bit of race planning is probably needed on my part -like pit stops when they are needed as opposed just part of the rules.
To that end i'm going to run a 10 lap practice session tonight to see how tyres and fuel go.
So if anyone's interested let me know if you want to join in. It's a long time with just the AI.
Probably about 10pm GMT. Any class welcome.
Will probably have staggered start. Race rules though run like a real practice so pit when you want etc.
Not sure if this warrants it's own thread but if so just move it.

Re: TORA MSA N24 Discussion
Depending on when qualifying finishes I may take part in this. I could do with seeing how long my fuel will last and seeing how capable I am of running in traffic.

Re: TORA MSA N24 Discussion
Sorry fellas, I am going to have to pull out of this. I was involved in a minor scooter accident last week, but still have some aching and pain in the left knee. Sitting infront of the xbox for 3.5 - 4 hours will not be a good expirience for me I am sure.
Just wanted to give you the heads up and apologize as I was kind of looking forward to this. Big do, but it would have been fun I am sure.
Now just waiting for the GT series to start in January.

Re: TORA MSA N24 Discussion
Thanks M8 I'm really dissapointed as this was always going to be tough, but a great race anyway.
Oh well, I learned the hard way that scooters and icy raods don't go well together.

Re: TORA MSA N24 Discussion
No dramas.
Turned out it was only me and nicky that turned up. Still worthwhile though.
I now know how many laps i can do before the fuel light comes on so i can work on my pitting.
And nicky learned how much damage you can get even on limited when you roll it!
If it had been a normal session i would have restarted but the whole idea was to get the ten laps in to see where fuel and tyres would be at the end and it happened after 5 laps.

Re: TORA MSA N24 Discussion
Just a reminder to everyone, the qualifying results are up on live timing.
If everyone can ensure they are online and ready to race at 7.45 as we will be starting at 8pm sharp.
