It seems like there is an issue with the legality of the McLaren (particularly with the rear end). Charlie Whiting is gonna fly out to Jerez according to PlanetF1.

Seems like the car we saw at launch had no obvious diffuser and covered exhausts. Not the first time McLare has done this.
Was it last winter everyone was desperately trying to work out exactly where the team had mounted it's exhausts? I believe the team ran with something like 3-4 different variations during testing.
I doubt they would use something blatently illegal. With the current testing regs there's no benefit in running something they simply wouldn't be able to race. I have no doubt McLaren will have a few backup options should the FIA get involved.
Mind you, we have yet to see the Red Bull yet...

Sauber nowhere near as bad as the Ferrari. At least it has a nose.... unlike the abruptly ending (I ran out of paper) affair on the Fezza.

Trying hard to spot any massive changes in the rest of the Sauber's bodywork though.

It's just a very clear 'step' going on. Moreso than on any other car currently revealed.
Heard that these new noses might make cars more nervous behind traffic so passing might be more difficult.
Essentially all that has gone wrong is that the FIA has altered the nose height but have left out changes to the chassis until next year. So this is a one year issue. 2013 will see better looking cars again.

The Sauber isnt as bad looking as the Caterham or Ferrari, the nose doesnt just stop or has as big a step as the Caterham. Although the paint scheme has got to be the worst yet.

Anyone know when Red Bull and Toro Rosso are unveiling their cars today?

How great is it to hear a pure sound coming from an F1 car again! So glad the FIA banned the blown diffuser and the cars sounded horrible through the corners!

well Raikkonen fastest on a set of hard tyres... some teams may be worried.

Webber took Raikkonens 1st sector apart on a run but never finished it. Red Bull clearly is quicker as im sure the Macca and Ferraris are too, But Lotus and Force India look like battling with Merc i reckon.
