Re: TORA TCC Meeting 4 - Rounds 7 & 8 - Sedona Club Reverse - 17th April 2012 - 8pm BST
Had a poor quali performance again tonight, 3rd time in a row
Made up for a poor quali with 2 great races, first race had a cracking battle with the BG guys and Newman just couldn't pass the pocket rocket that is the Suzuki! Race 2 was epic 9th to 1st had so many great battles throughout the race
Really looking forward to Maple Syrup now, should be SEAT territory

Look forward to maple, especially with a new tune . I will learn from this tune a certain magician will be providing and hopefully find out where I was going wrong with mine. It looks a my time for the club was consistent enough but I was so cautious not to cause any damage by giddiness thus time it lost me too many places. That and not wanting to ruin any body else the chance of having a good race. I was happy with the out come. 22 points for KM yeah. Thanks again guys

WWR Aero wrote:There were a number of racers expecting an invite tonight who did not post "IN" in this, the meeting thread. Also there appeared to be some confusion over Safety Car rules. Can I please re-iterrate how important it is that you read the Rules and Regs thread for the series you enter, as it's your responsibility to do so, though it's always us staff that have to deal with the shouty disappointment when people don't receive invites etc.
Posting "In" really helps us to pre-organise the race. Just turning up into a lobby is likely to get you kicked, unless your host is feeling charitable, especially when we have limited spaces (like tonight - we had "In"'s for 3 FULL lobbies, hence why unsigned people were "kicked", albeit temporarily, in order to make sure there was room for those who did read the rules and follow them by posting "In").
Me being one of them , Appologies for this, i really though i had posted "IN" on the thread. Well that proved not to be the case. Sorry about that lads must have had a blonde moment. I can assure it wont happen again.
However thank you for managing to get me a space to race. Really enjoyed it.
Now i have received my slap on the wrist i will make sure i post "IN" from now on.
Great race in my lobby, From what i was involved in last night i thought this was good clean racing. Had a shunt from behind on race 2 which pushed me to hard for a turn and caught the back end of DangerDave ,sorry Dave though trying hard to close the gap almost seemed impossible. Infact i think the guys in the lobby all had a very good race.
Thanks for a good evening lads look forward to the next one.

Dav of Krypton wrote:That was some good racing tonight. Thanks Guys. Glad that track is over with. The first stupid chicane got me on the first race ending up with a damaged gearbox LOL. Tonight was the best I have raced so far, had a good few battles at the back with BG Scarlett (nice racing) but one mistake and he took the lead. Nice work Scarlett.
Thanks Ian and men for a great lobby.
Good racing with you too - although you did get the better of me towards the end of race one.
The second race, well..... let’s just leave it at that!! I had a shocker.
Bring on Maple and hopefully, I will redeem myself.

No problem, this is Touring Cars and with this track I think some bumping and scrapping incidents are inevitable.
I did think that I would be able to keep you behind me in the first race but a couple of unforced errors saw you pass and gap me.

Well that was a fun evening! My car was trashed by the end of race 2 and I hated the track, but it was still really enjoyable racing with you all

Oh and Sorry about all the feedback from my Mic lol. I have charged the wireless and still had some feedback but at least I could hear you. Does anybody know if there is a way of using the wired Mic with a second controller, as the feedback its coming from my steering wheel (a known issue with it due to Microsoft not sharing).

Being cautious is a virtue not a fault mate, especially on a track like this with the tight chicane and there being only one racing line on many of the corners. I had the misfortune of my only time going into the sticky stuff on the first chicane just after F4H Koenigsegg went into the syrup himself (sods law) causing me to go into the back of him creating a bit of damage so I decided I wouldnt overtake him in the remaining 6? laps because it wouldnt be fair even though I had a huge advantage in speed on the straights (I kept backing off).
Overall good racing though and I enjoyed it and as always, thanks to the staff and lobby hosts.

Very noble hainsey, I would agree with that, being too aggressive just spoils the game for everyone, bit of gentlemenship is always preferred vs aggressive a$$ wipe.

Following on the the SI can anybody provide the replay of the above race.
This is exciting I know I should be worried but it all adds to the whole experience. (don't take that as a bad idea).
Cheers
