After a long days work flying laps and fine tuning around one of the world greatest race tracks that is Hockenheim, there's nothing better to do than go to the bar and chill out, which was the plan until things changed for GRT 458Italia and the Gecko Racing crew

During his testing at Hockenheim in his SLS GT3, himself and his pit crew noticed a lone man sitting in the grand stands. After GRT had finished his testing and pulled up in the pits, he noticed that the man was gone and didn't see him until that afternoon at the bar. The man, who's name would like to stay anonymous had an offer for the gecko racing guys that he couldn't turn down.

The man was a talent scout from a racing group in Australia and heard about the young mans attempts to win in the season 9 GT series. He would then offer him a sum of money to help with the funds needed for starting a race team and a new sponsor to help them out, that sponsor being castrol oils.

This is what he had to say: " he is still a very young driver, youngest in the championship and still has a long way to go. Starting a new team is tough and that is why I have jumped on board, the team needs recognition if it is to become known and competitive in the series. That cost money! Even though he has room for improvement, I can see him evolving and become a very competitive driver throughout the season and I am here to make sure of that. I have contacts of people that can help to improve his driving and therefore giving the team name the recognition it deserves and start filling the team."

The new gecko racing sponsored by castrol oil livery is completed but is to remain under raps until given the all clear. Gecko racing has now got 3 major sponsors onboard in the form of König Rims, Castrol Oils and Michelin Tyres to make sure that the team and it's drivers can be as competitive as possible in these early stages
