yup. gonna be a fun week. its forecasted to rain until FRIDAY. it been raining here since Saturday. literally a week of rain.

first true hurricane to reach Toronto in a very long time.

the gov't sent out pre-emptive flood warnings for my area on saturday. thats how serious we are taking it. If I read the map right, it will still be a tropical depression by the time it gets here, with sustained winds of 40mph with gusts up to 60mph.

and its garbage day tomorrow! lol

btw the last Hurricane to roll into Toronto was Hurricane Hazel in 1954. It made landfall in the carolinas as a C4 and then it reached us as an extrotropical storm but had the strength of a C1 hurricane.

ugh. my grandma and my mom are right in the middle of it in northern VA...

and i'm 800 miles away and cant do anything to help them

man, this is making it really hard to study for my midterm tomorrow morning.

the whole house is just shuddering everytime a big gust rolls thru. I've apparently gotten quite interested, and my GF is getting worried that I've taken interest in it....just like the Earthquake we had this past year

i'm doing ok. I think we're lucky that the worse bit (the wind) is passing thru the night when everybody is sleeping and not outside doing stuff. However the rain will commence now that the eye is getting closer. New path approximations put the eye going thru Lake Ontario instead of a bit east of it. So the eye will be going ~60-100mi east of where I am on either wednesday or Thursday.
