Road America lap times

My favorite track (real world and in the game)

Early testing has me doing 1:45-1:46 range in the ARX-02a

He's some real world Road America track times I found interesting:

2000 CART Honda Reynard 1:39.866 (track record)
2008 Audi R10 1:46.935 (best P1)
2008 Acura ARX-01b 1:47.345 (best P2)
1973 Can-AM Porsche 917/30 1:57.518
2006 Aston Martin DBR9 1:59.638 (best GT1)
2012 Porsche 911 GT3 RSR 2:04.415 (best GT2)

2008 Audi R10 1:46.935 (best P1)
2008 Acura ARX-01b 1:47.345 (best P2)

wowwwww they must have that thing wayyyyy trimmed out

Haven't done any times yet but the Merc should love the straights on this track

I suspect this is where my Z4 will struggle again

it will be interesting to see how the Skoda Lola's do here, I suspect the Aston Lola's will dominate

Put the aero back on. Top speed on the 01b is 197 mph.

I'll have to try to find time for this race. I signed up thinking I'd be able to actually do this.... Life sucks sometimes.

And the Mclearn will probably be super slow......

I got the Skoda Lola down to a 1:46.2xx but still super slow, although Drake seems to do 45's with the same tune

got my vette down to 2:08.2xx but i was 0.359s down in the first sector

work out the understeer and a tweak on the gear box.

Well in that case...

1:50.592 (C) in a P2 Porsche. Had a couple of laps where it could have been faster, considerably so in some cases, but I kept losing the front end. Shame on you if you chose this car willingly.

well thank god, i'm running around the same but my front end sticks and the back doesn't but i'm hitting higher speeds than you

Went back, re-tuned the Porsche and dropped down to 1:50.151 (C), 187 mph top speed... and then a catastrophic crash coming out of turn one, but up until then the car was well behaved!
