If he's tired of seeing them at the bottom why doesn't he invest millions? Head hunt the top guys in the paddock, like Ferrari and Red Bull did.

He probably is throwing all the millions he can, what he probably doesn't realise is that it's not million's now its BILLIONS, in order to succeed. F1, cost's more than it's worth.

all this talk of three car teams is fueling rumours that sauber might merge with Marussia, Lotus merge with Caterham, and RBR "absorbing" Toro Rosso, not in 2014 though.

Maldonado should be announced by Lotus today too, then maybe Force India will announce their line up as well.

Bahrain race to be held at night under floodlights honouring the races' 10 Year Anniversary. Floodlights will be trialed during the WEC event there

Why are they trying so hard? Didn't they change the layout slightly for it's 5 year anniversary? And it was unanimously agreed that it was crap. There is better tracks that have been around longer and don't put on these little circus shows. I do like the track, but I don't see the point in this.

Should bring people to the track as it'll be a lot cooler and tires shouldn't have the usual heat degradation. Basically like Abu Dhabi.
The WEC ran today with 50% lighting and it was pretty bright, so I doubt it'll look any different apart from heli shots, it'll help the off track side of things more though.

Drivers will be assigned permanent numbers for the duration of their careers, with the championship adopting a system similar to the one used in MotoGP. The number 1 will be put in reserve as the champion's right, with drivers free to choose any number from 2 to 99. Previously, the numbering system had been based on the World Constructors' Championship finishing positions from the previous year.

Unless they make the final Grand Prix double the distance (600km), then it's a sh*te idea. None of the drivers will like this, none of the fans like this, I seriously hope it gets 'reconsidered' soon.

If it goes ahead, then that's F1 lost yet more of it's integrity as a form of motorsport.

Still not as bad an idea as DRS though. God damn DRS.

Perez confirmed at Force India. Looking bleak for Di Resta now, really thought he should have the seat. Nothing against Perez, but Paul had a solid year & it's wise to keep at least one driver. With 2 new drivers it'll be difficult to compare to 2013.

You wouldn't be able to compare this year to next year, completely different cars. I wasnt keen on PD anyway & i wouldnt call 6 DNF's in a row a solid year.

I also think that you will never see any brand new f1 teams ever again. Maybe a rebranding of one of the current teams, but not any fresh ones, we've all seen how successful the Lotus/Caterham and Virgin/Marussias have been.

I mean, is Mercedes F1 really Mercedes? Is Red Bull really Red Bull? F1s just turned into a massive branding excercise. I oft awake in cold sweats over this ridiculous situation. I mean, the whole thing with Lotus. Not only do they have nothing to do with Lotus in terms of heritage or management, they once raced AGAINST Lotus in a different guise decades ago. Where does the madness end?

Same goes for Mercedes. Which is Honda.
