More details of the race on the 31st...

ChumpCar 100 Laps of Road Atlanta Club

Group 1: Overweight. >3300 lbs. 5xx PI A Class. No Aero

Group 2: Underpowered. <200 HP. 400 PI C Class. No Aero

Group 3: Crapwagons. 100 PI Unlimited build.

Format: 100 Laps, split into two 50 lap segments.

I will set the end race timer to 4 minutes. After the race leader has passed the line at the end of the first 50 laps, everyone finish the lap that they are on. After the last car has finished his lap, I will pause and take lap totals of everyone for the first segment. Race 2 will start via lobby points, with the leader on pole for race 2. Race will finish the same way as race 1, as everyone finishes the lap that they are on after the winner crosses the line on lap 50. Then the laps will be totalled for the two halves, and that will determine the official finish, with who finished higher in race 2 as the tie breaker.

Car lists will be posted Monday, Dec 17, 2012.

Testing notes: the F100 cars are a blast around RA Club... wide open everywhere except the last chicane. Laughing

But they are some 20 secs slower than the A class cars, so traffic will come into play within 3 laps. Twisted Evil

Drag tires banned from ...? Not ChumpCar, if that is what you are asking.

That race will be whatever fits the PI with the exception for Aero on the two upper classes.

There are still a couple events to be added, including NASCAR Nationwide... S Class Chevy and Ford Stock Cars downgraded via Drag Slicks @ Motegi Superspeedway, Road America or Road Atlanta Full.

Most likely in a US Friendly timeslot, anyone care for 9PM EST/6PM PST on Friday the 28th?

C Class 400 PI sub 200 HP or A Class 550 PI over 3300 Lb, cheap to buy (Cr15000 max) cars to weed out dominators?

The ChumpCar race on the 31st is pretty much aimed directly at the home celebrators. A little bit cheeky, a whole lotta fun, and cars that could still be driven after a pint or too too many.

Cool, I am hoping to have some practice lobbies this week as there is a very light schedule across all of FM4 this week.

The MMTCC tunes are up on my Storefront.

Mercury Cougar Eliminator has been eliminated from the Street Stock line up, as it was just a bit too quick.

1978 Mustang II King Cobra has been re-added to the Chump Car Underpowered Class.

As far as sending tunes: most of the races are locked Spec tunes (Spec Miata, TTC Subaru, Street Stocks, MMTCC), which are available on my Storefront free of charge. The others are either stock default and untuned (V8 Supercars and Spec Viper Comp Coupe) or open build (TCC, JrTCC, NASCAR Nationwide, ChumpCar)

So, I know this is a pain, but please grab Spec tunes from the Storefront.

Having done some testing with my Spec Miata build, and having raced a Spec Miata race last night in a different league, I am now looking forward to that one even more than I was. bounce

I would call Day 1 of Winter Heat a success... 10 racer lobbies and 4 different winners in 4 races.

Congrats to XPR Viper and Franchitti Fan for wins in Spec Miata, and WCM Outlaw and Kilroy8 for wins in TTC Subarus.

Day 2 features High Horsepower Heavyweights: NASCAR Street Stocks at Sedona Superspeedway and V8 Supercars at Maple Valley Full. Throttle control will be key.

The first race of the day, NASCAR Street Stocks, has been postponed by 30 minutes due to conflict with the TGT Test.

However, I will have a lobby open at the scheduled time for some Q session practice runs if anyone wants to test some different cars.
