Bodywork: All Line Extras - Stree Bodywork

Sport Tyre Compound
Maximum Tyre Width All Round

Race Driveline
Stock Differential
Platform and Handling:
Sport Brakes
Sport Springs and Dampers
Sport Anti-roll Bars Front and Rear
Race Chassis Reinforcement and Roll Cage
Race Weight Reduction
Engine:
Race Flywheel
No more upgrades.
The Idea is to have the best performing non-adjustable parts on the car.
Since we've had, or are going to have, an influx of newcomers to tora, should we try and put a series together with a car that people can learn to race against one another?
I did post up a Honda Civic to the TORA Garage with the words "Rookie School" on the side, should I re upload it for you to try out?
I started this thread through having too many ideas and not having time to execute them, over time this thread will probably end up being filled by everone else's ideas which could potentially be chopped and changed in order to refine them into being series worth racing in:

Re: AMR's Idea Dustbin.
I've had another Idea that I darent put forward publically, because every Idea I've had just gets overlooked.
I'm just gonna put this here...
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0ApBd_M5PxPuhdENhbzJXV0plVXhvRG13aEVPRG5fYVE#gid=0
I'm also gonna put more ideas in this thread so that if someone wants to run something and isnt sure, they are more than welcome to take one of these.

Re: AMR's Idea Dustbin.
Adrian I suggested this to a number of members maybe limit to 3 - 6 cars balance test fully so its easier to balance a list
Re: AMR's Idea Dustbin.
Bump to put this here...
All-Star Touring
Not quite the Group A idea I was planning on ever since Forza 4 appeared, nor is it the 80s Sports and Saloons thing either.
Just a simple 5 car balancing act, that still isnt right, I dont think they ever have been, BMW and Mercedes from DTM, Alfa from the Campeonato Italiano Superturismo (Before they made their name in DTM), Heavily Restricted Ford Sierras , and even more cruelly punished Nissan Skylines from Japan and Australia. Most of them with their own individual buckets to stop clever-clogs from swapping engines or drivetrains.
All Cars:
Maximum PI: 620
Maximum HP: 400
Minimum Weight: 2500lbs
No Adjustable Front Bumpers
No Forza Branded Bodywork
Buddy Club - P1 Racing QF Rims on All Cars
Carlist:
Bucket 1 - "BMW Merc"
Cylinders - 4
Aspiration - Naturally Aspirated
Drivetrain - RWD
1991 Mercedes 190E 2.5-16 Evolution II
(All Individual Stats are Approximates, personal builds may differ very slightly)
HP: 376
Weight: 2517lbs
Speed: 6.9
Handling: 6.6
Acceleration: 7.9
Launch: 6.8
Braking:7.0
Additional Restriction: Do Not Remove Stock Rear Wing
1991 BMW M3
HP: 392
Weight: 2555lbs
Speed: 7.6
Handling: 6.0
Acceleration 7.9
Launch : 7.9
Braking : 6.3
No Additional Restrictions
Bucket 2 - aka "Sierra"
Cylinders - 4
Aspiration - Single Turbo
Drivetrain - RWD
1987 Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500
HP: 367
Weight: 2503lbs
Speed : 6.9
Handling : 6.0
Acceleration 8.3
Launch: 7.9
Additional Restriction: Do Not Remove Stock Rear Wing
Bucket 3 - aka "Alfa"
Cylinders - 4
Aspiration - Single Turbo
Drivetrain - 4WD
1992 Alfa Romeo 155 Q4
HP: 296
Weight: 2559
Speed 5.9
Handling: 6.2
Acceleration: 7.9
Launch: 8.6
Braking: 6.7
Bucket 4 - aka "Skyline"
Cylinders - 6
Aspiration - Twin Turbo
Drivetrain - 4WD
1993 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec
HP: 339
Weight: 2721lbs (will not get any closer to the 2500lbs limit, suggesting to raise the HP of this car to match the others would make this car too dominant)
Speed: 5.8
Handling: 6.5
Acceleration: 7.4
Launch: 6.6
Braking: 6.8
Additional Restrictions: No Bodywork Upgrades Whatsoever, Do Not Remove Stock Rear Wing

"NGTC" Style Touring Car Series
"NGTC" Style Touring Car Series
Front-Engined Production Cars
4 doors
4 wheel drive
No adjustable front wings
Adjustable Rear wing compulsory.
"Buddy Club - P1 Racing QF" Rims Compulsory
Each of the 4 cars will have its own "Bucket" (Mainly to catch out those who "swap" by locking off the amount of cylinders and isolating the kind of aspiration of each car, but potentially to control the PI of each car via some kind of success handicapping formula which could be used for the "Next time" this series is used)
Must have no more, or no less, than 633 PI
Must have no more than 400 HP
Must NOT weigh less than 3100 lbs.
Bucket 1: aka AUDI
Bucket Restrictions:-
- Cylinders: 6
- Aspiration: Twin-Screw Supercharged
2010 - Audi - S4 (Livery Design: ADONISTUD FC)
Stats: (These are approximate, personal builds may differ slightly)
HP:400
Torque: 389 LB-FT
Weight: 3196lbs
Front: 57%
Displacement 3.0 L
Speed: 7.3
Handling: 6.1
Acceleration: 7.8
Launch: 7.8
Braking: 6.5
Influence : We have a strong Audi following within TORA. Also with certain bodywork upgrades, the car looks similar to the Audi used in the Superstar V8 championship (Although ours will be much better than...)
__________
Bucket 2: aka "Subaru"
Cylinders: 4
Aspiration: Turbocharged
2011 - Subaru - WRX STI (K Aegis)
Stats :-
Power: 400hp
Torque: 380 LB-FT
Weight: 3105lbs
Front: 56%
Displacement: 2.8 L
Speed: 6.6
Handling: 6.3
Acceleration: 7.8
Launch: 7.8
Braking: 6.7
Influence: The inaugural TORA NGTC on Forza 3 was dominated by the brand, we also have several keen Subaru fans within TORA.
__________
Bucket 3: aka "Insignia"
Cylinders: 6
Aspiration: Turbocharged
2010 - Vauxhall (Rebadging: Opel, Buick Regal) - Insignia (voodoov2)
Power: 390hp
Torque: 389 LB-FT
Weight: 3109lbs
Front: 55%
Displacement: 2.9 L
Speed 6.8
Handling: 6.1
Acceleration: 7.8
Launch: 7.8
Braking: 6.4
Influence: Obvious BTCC influence, not just for its presence in the real world NGTC formula, but also its super-touring roots, as a GM brand drivers and teams from outside the UK could rebadge the car to be an Opel Insignia, or Buick Regal Insignia.
__________
Bucket 4: aka "Volvo"
Cylinders: 6
Aspiration: Turbocharged
2011 - Volvo - S60 R-Design (RepLicA 34)
Power: 355
Torque: 384 LB-FT
Weight: 3019lbs
Front: 57%
Displacement 3.5 L
Speed: 6.6
Handling: 6.4
Acceleration: 7.7
Launch: 8.0
Braking: 6.8
Influence: This formula of 4 makes of car is fairly similar to that of the Scandanavian TTA Series, where Volvo were an obvious presence, except for the type of car that was used at the time. A Marque with a long Touring Car heritage, through Group A with the 242 Turbo, and its obvious SuperTouring notoriety.

Re: AMR's Idea Dustbin.
Only just seen this
I love the idea, and if you'd like I'll get some guys to test and compare all the cars if you have a calender to go from.
I really would like to see this ran if it works.

Re: AMR's Idea Dustbin.
I've only just moved it from the staff section, its been there for a while but never really used it until the last couple of weeks.
I've got too many ideas to just go to waste, so they're here for anyone to use.

Re: AMR's Idea Dustbin.
If you can decide which one you'll most like see run mate, ill try and get it sorted, I can only personally oversee and assist in FM4 races, but I am sure there are people on FM5 who can do the same for you.

I did accidentally post the idea in the TCR application form page, before moving this thread from the staff area, has it been looked at yet?

Re: AMR's Idea Dustbin.
Joito made a suggestion about doing something similar to a United Sportscar series, seeing as we dont have vehicles masquerading as "Prototypes" that were being used in grand am, its obviously not possible, but then listening to an old Midweek Motorsport podcast, they were talking about how Grand-Am wanted to see what could be done alongside what the DTM and Super GT organisers had planned...it suddernly hit me...
...if the DTM/Super GT type of car is supposed to be the "top class" of car by the time 2017 comes along , we kind of have that available for us to use in forza 4!
For Example
I've purposely left out anything with less performance, and cars that were the Original BPR/FIA International GT1 spec, because they were completely different beasts altogether, and personally I'd not want to put the current grand am crop in the same league as those classics...
