Richy59 wrote:Not sure if it's just me or not, but these videos only have comms coming from my right speaker.
I think that's because when I edited the track it was in stereo, with my part being the left and the comms guys on the right. As I'm muted all you'll get is them on the right. I think I know how to fix that next time out.
Re: TORA TV - Suzuka GT Sprints
I didn't seem to notice it on MotorsTV though, maybe the way I was sitting.
Re: TORA TV - Suzuka GT Sprints
I noticed on motors that the engines where quiet so seems that they may just run sound on the right
Re: TORA TV - Suzuka GT Sprints

Re: TORA TV - Suzuka GT Sprints

Indeed, I saw that. I was thinking that Lobby C or D (whichever one I was in) was going to be aired, cuz I had a great battle with Mark the whole race for 1st.
Nonetheless, the SRT guys were informed

Hats off to stan and everyone that put together the video. I expected big things, but this far surpassed expectations. Truely incredible and a job well done.
Only seen the first few mintues, and will get some popcorn on the way home to watch the rest. Certainly put my works to shame
Maybe kick the sound guy though, need to move the comms fader left a little

Re: TORA TV - Suzuka GT Sprints
Very impressed with the graphics and comms.
Few suggestions,
- For the rolling start comms should talk about the grid without the graphics on screen (referring to a bit of paper instead with grid positions), so that the graphics go as long as the comms are going on, rather than comms rushing to squeeze everything in before the graphics disappear
- Ad break. Surely gotta be sorted a bit more efficiently by the chaps at Motors TV. I suppose if there's a certain cut off point then we'll know (maybe worth speaking to the people who we send the file off to?). It will make the video much more flowing and natural. You know how TV shows have a 3 second ad break screen 'End of Part 1' or something. Maybe use that and it's clear for them and the viewers when it's going to be cut.
- Graphics are cool, I really like them (like GRID?) but I found the white text of the race number clashing loads. Maybe have an opaque background on it?
- The ticker at the bottom showing the positions, maybe make it the same text as what we used for the grid? I hate Arial or default fonts, not keen
Sorry if I've been too critical and I'm nowhere near an expert on the issue, but I have this weird thing for sports grephics. I've done a bit before with my own sport (Koneball on YouTube) and I like to make things look nice and clean so that's why I'm being a bit aahghhhhh
Not to undermine the current effort at all!!! Brilliant! Onwards and upwards!

It is the same - Segue UI. That's the TORA font.Bli33ard wrote:- The ticker at the bottom showing the positions, maybe make it the same text as what we used for the grid? I hate Arial or default fonts, not keen
How is it spelt? I copied it off the Spotter's Guide.Velox Polaris wrote:My name wasn't spelt correctly. Nice one.

Young sir, do NOT do yourself an injustice. I take my hat off to you and THANK YOU very much sir, as without you and your tireless efforts and unlimited learning ability and new skill sets have got a lot to do with us (TORA) getting this opportunity!!!!!
To add, you stepped aside and clapped when things moved on and applauded! A true gent.
Thank you Simon ;O)

Aw guys. I really appreciate the recognition, thanks!
The video making was something I loved, probably up to about 6 months ago when things went a bit downhill personally, but now im getting the racing fever back again I would've liked to have been involved in the process.
However, I would applaud the success as I have whole community in mind for this success, and not my own personal goals. If there is success in TORA that benefits the community, I will applaud where due. Both to stan and the guys who made the video, Jake joining the comms team, Matt for getting the ball rolling and getting TORA on TV, its an awesome achievement!
Re: TORA TV - Suzuka GT Sprints
Wowsers, that was the best virtual racing vid I've ever seen. Jake's commentary especially added a sense of realism with AMR holding his own, which is no mean feat when up against a pro broadcaster. And Stan, graphics etc was amazeballs as well, well done everyone involved.
