Re: Team AON
After the debut race at Road Atlanta, Rapid Fit Ford Racing and NICKFTM3 came away with some very good results. Only downside to the results was a suspension failure in the 1st race which meant Nick could'nt finish. A good qualifying position of 4th was a surprise to Nick who didnt expect to be quick straight away. Now next onto the next round at Moetgi East which hopefully will be another good showing form Rapid Fit Ford Racing and NICKFTM3!

Re: Team AON
Rapid Fit Ford Racing are close to agreeing a deal that will see them have a new driver join the team. The driver in question is a driver that current driver NICKFTM3 knows all about and knows how he can be fast in the right car. The deal should be concluded by the end of the day.

Re: Team AON
Rapid Fit Ford Racing is proud to announce the arrival of danmastiff who is joining the team as NICKFTM3's team-mate. Dan has great experience in touring car racing and has previoulsy won the the FTCC championship last season. Nick is very pleased that Dan has decided to join the team and is hoping together they can progress the Focus in to a winning car. Dan will make his debut race at Motegi-East at the next round and hopefully he will do very well for the team.

Re: Team AON
More news has came from the Rapid Fit Ford Racing team tonight. They signed Y22 DJH to partner Nick and Dan in the team. Y22 is also known to Nick and Dan as they have all raced in the same series last year which saw Nick and Y22 become team champions. Y22 will drive the #24 car and hopefully will do very well for the team as he is expected to once he finds his feet in the series.

Re: Team AON
After rounds 16, 17, and 18 at Sebring the Rapid Fit Ford Racing team reflect on their latest outing. With Nick being the only representive at the meeting since Y22 and Dan could'nt make it, it would be interesting to see how the team would fair throughout the meeting. Nick put the Focus onto the second row in third place which the team and Nick where very happy about. Nick made a very good and clean getaway in both the first and second races and got himself into second place by the hammerhead. AJtheButcher managed to get by Nick in the first race and pulled away with Tubbiboy with Nick keeping them both in his sights. Nick brought the car home in 3rd place, another strong result for the new team. The second race was basically the same except this time Nick managed to keep hold of second place and was on the pace of race leader AJtheButcher. Both managed to pull away from the pack with Tubbiboy being there closest racer. Nick came home in second place which was an excellent result for both Nick and the team. With the 3rd race being a reverse grid there was bound to be crashes and this race was no exception. A collision on lap 3 invloving Tubbiboy, Nickyf1, Chaddy and Kris meant Nick moved up to 3rd place when the safety car came out. On the restart there was contact between Tubbiboy and Nick which saw Nick run wide and clip the barrier. This saw Nick fall back to last place. A misfire later on during the race meant Nick couldn't catch the pack except he did make up two places with King Hill and Chaddy both having dilemmas. Nick brought the Focus home in 5th place which rounded off a very good meeting for Nick and the Rapid Fit Ford Racing outfit. Hopefully this can be carried onto the next round at Laguna Seca and hopefully the team can get a first victory in the Focus.

Re: Team AON
For the remainder of the BTCC season the Rapid Fit Ford Racing team will run under the name Team Aon. This is due to Rapid Fit having to scale back their sponsorship in the motor racing scene. Rapid Fit will continue to back NICKFTM3's Supercup championship until the end of the current season when they will pull out at the end. Nick has been quoted saying he is excited by the change of ownership and is looking forward to progressing with the team. Team AON will keep on board all 3 of their drivers and will look to push on after very good results once again for Nick and Y22 at Laguna Seca. The team will debut the new livery at the next race at Silverstone National. Official pics will be posted up in the next 24rs once everything has finalised with between 1st driver and team manager Nick and the bosses at Team AON.

Re: Team AON
I noticed you bought one of my Team Aon Focus, but it was locked, so I guess you also bought one of CaptQWERTYs unlocked ones.
It's a good looking livery, will be good to see it on track.

Re: Team AON
After the penultimate rounds at Sunset Infield, Team AON came away with more encouraging results. Team Manager NickFTM3 and lead driver was pleased with the results himself and team-mate Y22 had got at Sunset even though the Focus was under power and not fast enough in a straight line. No matter both driver qualifed in mid-table and did very well in all 3 races. NickFTM3 picked up 2 4th places and 14th overall in the 3rd race, while Y22 picked 3 top ten places in 10th and two 9th places. After the race it was announced that Y22 would stay with the team for next season. Y22 has impressed since his debut at Laguna Seca. Team Manager NickFTM3 was very pleased with the way Y22 had driven the Focus and the results he had picked up. It was also revealed that talks with Ford about a works programme for season 3 had gathered pace and is looking like a strong possibility. Also major sponsors are in talks with NickFTM3 about the possibility of being the team's main sponsor. NickFTM3 was pleased with these talks and is excited of the prospect that big sponsors want to sponsor the team and he says it shows how far the team has come in the little time it has been together. Ford wern't around the team's headquarters to comment but close sources are 70% 30% in favour of Ford making this team a works team. On to Maple Valley now for the season finale, the team are going there in good spirit and are very hopeful of getting more great results.

Re: Team AON
The final 3 races of the season at Maple Valley brought Team AON's best results as a team. Both NickFTM3 and Y22 DJH qualified in the top lobby which was a big surprise to Y22 as he felt his car wasn't fast enough. Anyway Nick had qualified in 4th while Y22 was in 7th. Race one saw Nick and Y22 do very well off the start and both climbed places. Nick passed KRI5 ONE on the back straight and chased after the two Plow Motorsport Legacy's. Y22 behind was having a great scrap with Ianmr, KRI5 ONE and Selective Rogue. By lap 4 Y22 had worked his way up in 4th behind team-mate Nick, although the top 3 were miles away from the rest of the pack. However on lap 5 a suspension failure for Y22 meant that he crashed big time on the back straight, meaning he couldnt finish the race. Nick brought the Focus home in 3rd for another podium finish. Race 2 saw more of the same with Y22 at the back of the grid. Nick started from 3rd place and put huge amounts of pressure on the two Plow lads in front of him. On lap four of the race Nick made a mistake at the back end of the circuit which let KRI5 ONE go past him into 3rd. Meanwhile Y22 was having another great race battling with Ianmr and Selective Rogue. He brought the car home in 8th place which was his best result in the Focus. Nick brought the car home in 4th which was another solid result for the team. Race 3 saw drama before the race even began. Nick's car developed a puncture on the formation lap which meant he had to start at the back of the grid. Y22 started on the race on pole due to the reverse grid. Y22 made a good start and had a good battle with Ianmr on the first few laps. Ianmr got passed Y22 and now he had to deal with the fast charging Plow boys and KRIS ONE behind. Y22 ran wide going up the hill and all 3 of them shot straight by. He went from 2nd place down to 5th in one corner which didn't please him. However he kept on battling and had a good dice with Selective Rogue at the end of the race and brought the car home in 5th place which was his best finish of the season. Nick's car developed a mystery engine problem during the race and he limped home in 7th place. Overall a fantastic race meeting for the Team AON boys, and team manager Nick was delighted with how the meeting went with both drivers in the top lobby for the first time. Now onto season 3 where Nick and Y22 are expecting to be at the front. The team is in discussions with other teams as well Ford about their programme for next year. Whatever car is picked though, both drivers are expected to be fighting race victories and even the title.
Good racing everyone and see you in season 3!!
