Does it exist where you live?
Edinburgh gets all the glory for it's deep fried confectionary and chippy sauce, but us Glaswegians know how to do it properly. This is drunk food heaven.
The Munchy Box. Example: ''wattae hawf is fur a munchy boax?''
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Munchy_box
And that's a small.

Yeah we get munchie boxes in Falkirk, one thing I have noticed is the severe lack of 'chippy sauce' in Aberdeen.

Re: Does it exist where you live?
A 12" Donner Calzone always goes down a treat after a good dozen pints of Tennents.

Hot Dogs here are vile tubes of semi-raw horse carcass slopped between two slices of what tastes like cake.
I did have some excellent hot dogs in Germany though.

Coors Light are absolutely pummeling the UK with ads at the moment.
Tennents, or simply 'a lager'. Brewed in Glasgow, not particularly nice, but generally cheap. In Scotland, we only drink alcohol to get comatosed.
In London, you can find where public transport is easily with the Underground roundel. In Glasgow, Tennents signs outside pubs mark the same purpose, albeit for boozers instead of trains.

Of course, after last orders, actual booze trains do occur..

Re: Does it exist where you live?
In Glasgow, our Subway is a circular line. That, combined with it's frequent service pattern has resulted in the 'Subcrawl', where you have to get off at each station, and get a drink(s) at the nearest bar. There's 15 stations.
Quite dangerous when you consider how narrow our platforms are, but it's all part of the fun!
So yes, booze trains.

Re: Does it exist where you live?
Haha brilliant!! Is that really the platform size? That's crazy small.
Re: Does it exist where you live?
Tennents has the lovely nickname of 'piss-water' up here. Isn't far off the mark to be fair.
Hot Dogs are also made of chicken leftovers, by which I mean anything they can grind up into a paste.
I had a look the other day for some 'Light' American beer because even Coors Light isn't the same as over there. Struggled to find the stuff except for Miller Light in some aluminium bottles apparently.

Re: Does it exist where you live?
I'm not a particularly tall chap and even I have to duck down a bit in the subway trains in Glasgow.
Re: Does it exist where you live?
Yeah, and I think that is inspired by the name as it's an Edinburgh company
Re: Does it exist where you live?
Nick and Richy those boxes look amazing. If they had them down here I'd be knocking off one of those on a daily basis for sure.
And Duncan, Brum > Solihole. Have that! Sorry if our takeaways don't give you gold plated cutlery to take home and wipe your mouth with napkins made from the finest Egyptian silk like they surely do over in poshville.

Re: Does it exist where you live?
Hahaha, I see where you're coming from now. In that case, I agree. Some definite questionable food round them sides.

Some are wider. But most are exactly like that.
Glaswegians of Victorian times were obviously hobbits. Which actually sounds quite feasible.

Re: Does it exist where you live?
My fave bad-for-you food is the Chicken Tacos off a truck or trailer. These portable fast food outlets have some of the most authentic Mexican food around.
