Audi R8 Hosting

I know the race isn't until the 18th, and sign-ups are only tonight, but just thought i'd throw a thread up so we can discuss hosting availability? Once we know the numbers of course.

I'll be down to help host Saturdays if work don't have me on after 7 that day.

I'm not signed up to the series, but I can host also. I can sit off to the side as a safety car. I still don't know how to use the live timing system and my computer died yesterday bu hopefully I'll have the parts by the 9th. Otherwise, I can do everything the old fashioned way using pencil and paper before you kids and new fangled devices came along.

I just take a picture with my phone, and if that somehow goes wrong, I always record my game-play anyways so I can look back and find what I missed, which rarely happens.

I would use my phone, but it's old and getting online with it is like pulling teeth. I can figure ways around it though. Like I said, hopefully the parts for my laptop will be in by the 9th and fixes what's wrong with it.

You don't need to get online with it, I use mine on race night JUST to take pictures of everyone's qualifying/race positions, then simply read them off the screen over the mic on the Xbox to whoever is doing the Live timing.

My computer is back up but I don't have access or training on how to use the live scoring yet. But, like Blackbird I'm not entering but can host if needed.

I know how to use em for my own stuff, but not been trained for TORA stuff yet

ok so this series could be a good start to getting a few of you marshals trained up using the google docs.

Have started using google docs with bli33ard for the seat cup and finding it quite easy work just need the live timing training but as for training do the race marshals first I can wait

im going to speak with Jamie this evening and see if he can do a group training session prior to the season opening as this is important to learn .

im also needing to learn

I'm good with the running part, though I wouldn't mind having the "lobby build before hand". It would be cool if we could get the live timing automation via google docs sorted for this too.
