race1 was crap for me. came round fast corner to find a golf sideways across track infront of me. pitted dropped to 12. when the pack caught me i moved off line onto grass to let them by. slipped into gap behind them losing an extra 600ft on bandit assuming he mite lose some when they passed him. then trouble up ahead 2 cars off track came back on and were going slowly up the hill side by side not watchin their mirrors for others at race speed.as i couldnt get round 2 cars side by side i went for the only gap, between them. my car didnt fit!. apparently being a lap ahead means u can get in lapped peoples way ruining their chance of racing their nearest apponent. i would have had to let them pass again easily as it would have been a blue fag situation anyway. It would have been nice to receive some of the curtosy back I showed others.

Good fun racing. Congratulations to the winners.

On the 1st race I pulled over to let the leaders pass and the pack was so spread out I couldn't rejoin for a couple of minutes. DNF'd a couple of laps down.

2nd was better. Got a bit more adventurous and recorded a best of 52.something - still cannot for the life of me see where I'm losing 5 seconds per lap. Still, only lapped by the leader and possibly the 2nd placed guy. Finished 10th.

Sorry about my mic. That's a £150 headset - should be better than that. I heard the 'building site' comment - I think that was caused by my flatmate collecting the glassware for recycling...

Oh yeah - solved my connection problems by putting the Xbox on a static IP address, putting this into the DMZ on the router, and disabling uPnP.

Now you just have to sort your mic out and get rid of the constant background noise and you will be sorted

Got taken out in the first race and finished 10th one lap down. Finished 7th in the second race with only slight contact with Mikey.

Thoroughly enjoyed my very first race meeting.

Race 1 I fluffed the start from pole and had a bit of lag but managed to finish 4th.

Race 2 I was placed well, 3rd or 4th, but got punted off on the left turn after the hill and joined back in in last which was 12th. Made up good ground but unfortunately hit someone who had got spun around right in front of me but managed to finish 7th.

Plenty of room for improvement but a good fist effort using manual gears and no aids I think.

Mate, what is the point in this post? Myself and the other car were back on the track and racing for that matter, for a good 1-200 meters or so before you arrived, either braking or going round the 2 slower cars (which were a lap ahead and fighting for a podium position) would have been the best option rather than smashing through the back of us both!?!?

I wasn't going to mention the incident again and I don't think the other party involved would have either as i think you got the message at time....

In future my advice if you have a 'real' issue please raise a SI rather than having a flame on the forums.

just giving race feedback dude. not flaming off at all. i dont take little blocks of colour on my telly that seriously!. thats why i mentioned no names or filed any silly complaint, just letting them who were involved what it felt like from my point of view. Little blocks of colour can never hurt ya. If I dont like what they do I turn the telly off and they go away they dont exist in the physical world.

Racing etiquette is that if you get lapped and then get the chance to unlap yourself, then do it very, very carefully, keeping well clear of the cars you're overtaking. People join TORA because they want a realistic racing experience that they can take seriously.
