GoDaddy Fun Cup - Potential Rookie Series
As a followup to our team announcement of the tieup with GoDaddy, we are organizing the GoDaddy Fun Cup.
The Essence of this series is to prequel the Spec Cup for brand new racers to TORA, so all drivers would be encouraged to run Auto, ABS, STM and TCS ON so as to result in equal racing. All cars will be built to a certain spec with no tuning of any kind. Damage will be cosmetic, and contact rules will be slightly more relaxed than in other TORA Series, with penalties incurred being tailor made to the incident it is involved in. A stewards inquiry service will be in operation however the lobby host will encourage any contact to be resolved on track, i.e letting the car back past.
The Format I have come up with is such...
Qualifying in a stock car to be chosen at random prior to the series.
Race 1: Tesla Trophy. Using BMN prepared 2011 Tesla Roadster Sports. 10 minute sprint race
Race 2: Craftsman Truck Series. Using BMN prepared GMC Syclones. 15 minute race
Race 3: TCR GoDaddy Twingo Cup. Using BMN prepared Renault Twingos. 15 minute race
There will be individual points tables for each of the classes, however the main prize is the GoDaddy Fun Cup. The winner of the GoDaddy fun cup will be offered a seat with the BMN GoDaddy Racing team in the Spec Cup and other series at a later date. The second and third place finishers will also be offered a seat, with the BMN Academy Team.
There will only be ONE lobby, so for now there are maximum of 14 entries.
As for date and day, this is entirely up to those who register interest. Register your interest below and state which day, Monday - Thursday would be preferable to you. We are looking at an initial time slot of anywhere between 8.30 and 10pm BST starting.
BMN GoDaddy Racing drivers jgroves1996 and mjg36 will be in the race lobbies. jgroves1996 will be acting as a safety car driver should the need arise, also calling restarts and mjg36 will be racing alongside you, but will not be eligible for points.
If you are interested, post below with your preferred date between Monday and Thursday

Are you sure the Tesla would be a smart choice? It is a Pre-Order car.

Is it? Son of a bitch.. Well if anybody decides to enter but doesn't have it, will do a car change. Probably for the Prius

Re: GoDaddy Fun Cup - Potential Rookie Series
Tesla = Electric Elise... and the performance numbers in FM4 are not that far apart, so I'd suggest the easy to drive Lotus.
Re: GoDaddy Fun Cup - Potential Rookie Series
Nice idea mate :-) think I probably will look at the Elise as the replacement. That or the Prius lmao

LOL, Prius and Elise are at opposite ends of the spectrum.
Re: GoDaddy Fun Cup - Potential Rookie Series
i think it can be an interesting cup for me,i'd like that it was as later as posible(hours) and why not something like rookie spec? with similar cars more for less

Re: GoDaddy Fun Cup - Potential Rookie Series
This will feel really strange I bet. I've got so used to driving without any ABS/STM/TCS/Automatic, even just manual now I run the clutch.
BUT
Could result in a good turnout and an opportunity to help those start out.

Re: GoDaddy Fun Cup - Potential Rookie Series
I'm interested, I definitely need to get used to racing against human drivers as opposed to computer controlled AI.
Re: GoDaddy Fun Cup - Potential Rookie Series
Once we get to around 10 entries, we'll start drawing up dates
(Bli33ard I know you aren't actually going to race so it's all good)
If people can spread the word about ths new series then it'll be much appreciated!

Re: GoDaddy Fun Cup - Potential Rookie Series
How many drivers have you got Demon??
I was personally gonna suggest the Elise as well.. me and mjg36 will make a decision soon!
The series may not be starting till around July, so we'll keep you posted!
