GT Endurance Series Empty GT Endurance Series

Post by exp1osive sam Wed 22 May 2013 - 16:05

The GPForza GT Endurance Series is planned to start in the summer of 2013, mixing grids of quicker GT3 machinery with slower, GT4 machinery. With two different categories of racing on the same track, the racing is sure to be exciting. However, it doesn't stop there. Within the GT3 category, there will be three separate classes. Similar to SRO-governed race series, the GPForza GTES will run a Pro, Pro-Am and Gentleman trophy class at each race.

Each driver will participate in a test before racing to determine a drivers class, and therefore the team's class. A drivers class will depend on his experience in other racing series, as well as on track speed and driving standards.

The Pro class is designed for teams with all drivers categorized as Gold or Platinum category drivers. The Gentleman trophy is for teams where all drivers are categorized as bronze or silver, or have little experience of online racing. The Pro-Am class is a mixture of the two, however a Pro-Am team can not have any more than two gold or platinum rated drivers racing at any one time.

The GT4 category is not planned to have an inter-category classing system in place, but if registration of GT4 teams is high, then this may be changed.

This series is back on the hunt for drivers again. Provisional dates have been announced on our website, with each race running from a Tuesday to Sunday, giving time for three qualifying sessions and the race between those days.

No GT4 class will no longer run, just GT3 class with Pro, Pro-Am and Gentleman Trophy categories. GT3 class runs a mixture of GT3 spec cars and GT2 cars with 10% Power Restrictions. Altogether there will be at least 11 cars available, possibly a 12th soon.

GPForza will also be running a second GT series alongside the Endurance Series. The Sprint Series will offer short, sharp races which are full or action and close racing. Using the same cars as in the GT Endurance Series means teams can decide whether they want to enter both championships, or enter just the one. Also, teams who enter into the Sprint Series will be offered the chance to take part in single Endurance Series events as part of their GPForza racing programme.

In the Sprint Series each driver will have their own car, unlike in the Endurance Series where drivers share a car with one or two other drivers. This means they are the only person who affects the result of the car. Driver classifications will still be enforced in the Sprint Series, this time with Pro and Am as the two categories. This means the fastest drivers in the series will face drivers likewise, and the not so quick drivers who are more likely looking for some enjoyment and entertainment can also compete against drivers with similar circumstances.

As always, be sure to fill out our sign up form to sign up your team to the GPForza GT Endurance Series and/or GT Sprint Series, and take a look at the new Sprint Series website
