New after seeing a post on Raptr
Gamertag is AcidicBeast
I'm 21
Live in England
My experiences are mainly virtual, ranging from the Forza Motorsport series, Need For Speed series and F1 2010, real life experience would be from when I went go-karting once.
Interests - I like to play instruments and skateboard as well as gaming
Expectations - I'm hoping to take part in the Touring Car series maybe, but will probably go for some more relaxed series first to get a feel for how things are done here.
How did you hear about TORA? - Heard about TORA through Raptr, was looking at the Forza 4 community page and saw a post, looked interesting so I clicked

Thanks
Yeah, as far as I'm aware it tends to be more popular with PC gamers than console gamers due the game-play tracker not being as reliable or something. It's basically a website/desktop app that tracks achievements and game-play time across PC, Xbox 360 & PS3, in-case anyone is unsure what Raptr is

Re: New after seeing a post on Raptr
Hi and welcome!!
If you want to get started I'd highly recommend the Spec Cup. The cars are all slightly modified VW Golfs and is a perfect introduction into how TORA works.
It's what I'm doing and as my first series and it's great, highly competitive and a great starting point before I step up the the Touring Car Championship.
If you apply for your race number it might be approved in time for this weeks race on Wednesday night 8pm BST.

Thank Paul, just went and had a look at the Spec Cup thread and it sounds great for me to get started, I applied for my race number early hours of this morning, so is just a case of waiting for approval, but hopefully I'll be able to sign up in time

Re: New after seeing a post on Raptr
Good stuff!!
In the mean time you can build your car to the series specs and request the mandatory vinyl pack with all the required number boards on so you'll be ready to go as soon as your number is approved.

Re: New after seeing a post on Raptr
Will do, and these may be silly questions but can I use any colour for the base car colour and where can I make the request for the vinyl pack?
Thanks
Thanks

Welcome to TORA!
You can use any colour you want and be as creative as you want to be for the livery
And, ...
You can request the mandatory vinyls HERE

Re: New after seeing a post on Raptr
As far as I'm aware you can use any colour you like, the only exception is that you can't use chrome wheels but that's irrelevant for the Spec Cup since you can only use standard wheels which you can't paint.
Most series have a topic dedicated to liveried and vinyls, here you'll find what the required vinyls are, where to place them on the car and how to get some.
If you send me a friend request I can gift you a set for the Spec Cup and there's a link here that explains how to change the numbers.
