I'll roll out the STP machine for this. It's all painted for the last time TASCAR ran, and I never did run it!

Hopefully I'll be able to get some races in!

ah, here we go. Such a shame there's no Dodge in FM4 this time by. Maybe for FM5 hopefully.

I will be running the 1987 Davey Allison Texaco Havoline Rookie paint. Davey was from my home state of Alabama, a member of Nascar's famous Alabama Gang, and is a local hero. Although he won Rookie of the Year in 87 and finished Top 3 in the Nascar Championship 2 times 1991 and 1992, he did not get another chance to win it. Davey died in July 1993 in a helicopter crash at Talladega Superspeedway. 19 wins in 191 starts, the best driver to never win a Nascar Championship. At the time of his death Davey was leading the IROC Championship with 1 race to go and Terry Labonte drove the last race for Davey to secure the 1993 IROC Championship for him. His first and only Championship as a driver. Davey was voted as 1 of Nascar's 50 best drivers in 1998. I race in Davey's memory, I hope you all like the paint. Yes...I am old school!

Cool deal. Always nice to see some history remembered.

BTW, I am "older" school, as I once pitted for Bobby Allison (we won that night ) and drank beer with and gave set-up advice to Dick Trickle.

That being said, I may have to do a Jeg's or A&W Dick Trickle car for this.

Thanks Mikey J, I knew someone would appreciate the history behind the livery. Must have been great working with those fellas. All the liverys I see here so far look great, a Dick Trickle design will fit right in. Cheers!

Outstanding "Old School" liveries fellas! Seems someone has started a trend lol Allison, DW, and Petty...looks like a good ole fashioned showdown, Winston Cup style, is on the horizon.

the first 3 Meetings this year, i'll run the '93-'95 Mark Martin Valvoline livery, the next 3, i'd run the '96-'97 paint (Round 6 being at Suzuka, i have that Valvoline-Kosei livery ready), if i can find anyone capable to create the '98-'99 livery (just the part with all those 'V's, i can do the rest), i would run that for round 7-9, and the final rounds, i'll use the 2000 livery

If only four drivers per team were allowed, I probably would have tried to re-create the #1 Pennzoil, #3 GM Goodwrench, #8 Budweiser, and #15 NAPA Auto Parts Chevrolets from the early 2000s.
