TORA 24 Hours of Le Mans - Race Stints

Race Stint Registration will open at 8pm BST on the 2nd of June.

Please indicate here who is taking part in each stint for your team. This gives us an idea as to who should be ready to go at the beginning of each one so that the lobby can get under way very quickly. If you do not make the start time the lobby will go without you as we need to keep on schedule.

Double Stinting will be banned between Stints 6 and 7. This is to prevent any delays and allow the second half of the race to 'reset' and continue at the correct time to reduce any delays that may happen. Please be aware of this when registering your stints.

May I request a possible exemption from this...
In the unlikely yet possible event that me and my room mate will be forced to run a two driver team (something we've done before on a different game), we will be using the same gamertag throughout. However we will be making driver changes, therefore not requireing a refreshment break and so I can 100% promice that we will have a driver ready to go as soon as the invitations are sent out.
I'll inform my lobby host of this before so he is aware and of course if for some reason we are not ready then tough buttons, start without us with no hesitation.

And yet the lobby hosts do not follow the rules of leaving late comers behind, thus causing the delays themselves. It seems that its one rule for them and another rule for others.

Perhaps if the lobby hosts did a better job then there wouldn't be an issue.

Either way I'll just have to work out another plan.

Ian and I have done the same thing in the past, and were talking about it for Le Mans. We used the same gamertag so I see where your coming from. I'll have a think about it, it's simple enough to do.

I'm not saying it's not difficult, and I'm certainly not saying I could manage a better job, all I'm asking is why the rule which states "If you do not make the start time the lobby will go without you" is not often followed?

I got pretty bored of waiting around for people last time, making us run 30mins late in the first couple of stints.

But seriously, don't get me wrong, I appreciate the work that goes into it and I know it can be stressfull trying to organise everyone in the lobby, but can you understand my question?

Thanks for thinking about it, ultimately I'll follow the rules regardless of what effect it has on me. I'll find a way of making it work.

Am i missing the point with regard the request for exemption.

How could stint 7 be ready on time if the same g tag is stil running in stint 6?
Surely you would miss the start of 7 even if 6 is minorly late.

You would get more milage taking an early exit from 6 to get room mate on time rather than miss a whole stint right?

That may be what has to be done to keep it in line. The Stint 6-7 double block is so we can get things going on time. Even if it is a steadfast rule my team would still have to comply. If a team is using one gamertag then that driver may have to leave stint 6 to make the start of stint 7 to not lose out on a full stint. It may not be their fault however due to natural delays, so I can see how they would feel aggrieved by it.

I see where you're coming from, you plan to start stint 7 potentially before stint 6 has ended. Fair enough, I understand the issue.

I'll have a rethink but if required then we'll have to withdraw from stint 6 a few minutes early... let's just hope the delay isn't too big! If I do this, would this be acceptable?

Slight problem, due to my schedule.. The only way I could run this event is if I could run 4stints in a row, Stint 5,6,7 and 8... :/ I have test early in the morning on my schedules both days, since I'm EST, I can't get home till 4pm EST which is mid stint 4.
