Question regarding the LMP builds.
So I'm assuming the various LMP builds have been tested a lot over time to make them what they are, but I'm curious: what reasons are behind each car's specific build? Why is the Acura both using the LMP2 version as well as limiting the PI to 990? Doesn't this make it a gimped car? I know the PI varies quite a bit in the GTE class due to aerodynamics and grip and power and such, but what about in LMP? I thought LMP was more equal like F1.
Re: Question regarding the LMP builds.
More specifically, shouldn't the Peugeot be a 5% handicap as well? Or is it not because it doesn't have enough grip? Stock 908 has 1.636 g lateral grip, compared with 1.670 g for the R18 for instance, or 1.669 for the AMR One.
Re: Question regarding the LMP builds.
An LMP2 with more power is an LMP1. That's why just because the Acura starts off as an LMP2 it doesn't need more PI besides the power to be competitive. It already has the handling down, it's just the power it needs.
And yeah, the Peugeot is crap handling.

Not completely. The lateral Gs value in the upgrade menu gives you the maximum g-force that can be sustained per wheel on the car given the configuration. It's used in computation in the game's engine, so it does give you a good comparison measure for a car's grip. On the other hand, PI is almost useless as a way to even out cars, but it gives a rough classing for various cars at least (particularly amongst the same drive types at least).
Re: Question regarding the LMP builds.
I'm also guessing that the "Lola Mazda" means the B09/86? Because only Honda and Aston Martin have cars in this game called the "Lola". And in that regard, does it matter which year? They both have the same exact stats down to a T apparently.
Re: Question regarding the LMP builds.
Does not matter which year 1 you choose.
Cars have been fully tested by a test team which involved the community cars were signed off by the group.
We cant mod this game.

Re: Question regarding the LMP builds.
Alright, thanks for the info, guys. This will help me out in the racing series I'm helping run this summer that is somewhat similar to ISCC. We were using an older car build list from TORA (not sure from when), and I felt it was a bit unbalanced. I was happy to see it get updated so nicely here.

Let him. It'll never be as big as TORA.
Also JVz, its wise not to burn bridges. They may be able to block your IP address so you can't see anything.

Re: Question regarding the LMP builds.
I'm not burning any bridges here. I was already part of a series that started a while ago, and I came here to join a larger league! Don't hate me!

Not at all dude welcome seen you posted up about a team, if you don't find 1 enter the series and if you need help just ask
Re: Question regarding the LMP builds.
Yeah I'm looking for an LMP team. I might be able to get a couple teammates to make my own, but after seeing how organised many of the teams are with more than just drivers doing all the work has made me think otherwise.
Speaking of that, wouldn't the Acura ARX-02a work with the same build settings as the Astins and Audi? Or is that still too powerful?

Re: Question regarding the LMP builds.
The Acura is far better handling then the Astons and Audi's. Doesn't need more power.

Re: Question regarding the LMP builds.
Your one of the guys from Reddit yeah? Welcome to the TORA forums
I saw some of your threads - posted in them as well - and had a look through the Reddit league. Looks like it will be pretty fun, and hope you guys get the TORA car builds working for you. Hopefully we get some of the credit though for the car builds, as we had a lot guys from our community put in a lot of time and effort to create the builds so I wouldn't like to think their efforts are having the credit taken away from them

Re: Question regarding the LMP builds.
Of course you'll be credited! I think the LMP builds we started with were similar to TORA, so that's why I thought we should look into what you guys had done to update them. We made the GS specs from scratch, and they're pretty neat, but also relatively new still. And I saw your post, too.
Re: Question regarding the LMP builds.
Sorry about the tone of my post mate. I read yours as "Haha I'm using your car builds...". No worries & Welcome

Re: Question regarding the LMP builds.
I had a minor concern with this class as well, but only on a particular track: Le Mans. The car hits 214, higher than some LMP1 cars, and I was able to come within the ballpark of LMP1 times with it (3:24.725). Should that be changed, or no?
