TCR Fun Cup Season 2 - Official Announcement and Initial Registration

So we have two rounds remaining of Season 1 of the Fun Cup so its time to reveal the plans for Season 2 :-)

Firstly, the cars:



Peugeot 207 S2000

PI 590, Tune Available from my Storefront.



Panoz LMP-01

P1 967, Tune Available from my Storefront. This will be run with a 25% Power Handicap.

Each class will have its own title and own championship standings. For the 207, it will be the Peugeot 207 Trophy, while the Panoz will be the Prototype Lite Championship. The points total combined will provide us with the winner of the TCR Fun Cup Season 2.

New for Season 2 is a sub-class in the combined standings, with a Pro class introduced. The Pro class will be distinguishable by the blue number boards and drivers will be allowed to run manual gears only and ABS off. The Am class will have green number boards and will run to current fun Cup specs.

The event format will see qualifying return, but will be a Superpole shootout. You get one lap to set your fastest clean lap and this will dictate the grid for the Peugeot race, a 15 minute-ish session. The grid for the Panoz race, a 30 minute-ish session, will be set by total lobby points.

There will be eight rounds with seven to count, so you will have one dropped meeting score. If you are Disqualified from a race within an event you will not be able to drop that score. Damage for Season 2 will be set to Limited, with penalties being dished out if you cause someone damage through poor driving.

We decided that as a Touring Car-esque development class the Peugeot wasn't right for the series, being awd and all, so we've built, tested and introducing a new car for Season 2, the Abarth Fiat 500 Essesse



Still currently working on the tune for the vehicle so its not currently available but it will around the B 500 mark. We feel this is the best direction to go in with car choice, however if you do feel strongly that this decision is wrong please let me know.

Can confirm the new season will start on Monday 30th September at 9pm and will be eight rounds long. Registrations will be accepted up to Saturday 28th September and entries for that round will open two weeks prior.

There will be a short test / media session run immediately after the final round of season 1 for anyone registered for Season 2 by that time. You don't need a livery but you will need to acquire the tunes from my storefront, which are on now

I for one am taking the decision to no longer enter the Fun Cup due to reasons I won't disclose on the Forum.

I may return for the odd round if my opinion changes, but don't count on it
