Nat issues please help
every time i have had it go to strict nat i would turn off my modem for about 60 secs and then it would make it open once i had turn the power back on.but this time it hasnt done this and i did a search on here but it gave info i knew already as i had used it to create a port for my xbox. so i went on xbox support but they only passed the buck saying i should contact my internet provider(AOL) but they couldnt help since they have a call center in India and thus the person on the other end couldnt hear me even though i could hear them anyways.if anyone can help please let me know how i can sort this problem out thanks.

Re: Nat issues please help
What router do you have? - It would help so we can give specific instructions.
However, the easiest way is to go into the router configuration pages, assign the Xbox a static IP on your home network and then put it in the router's DMZ.

Re: Nat issues please help
If your router supports it, port trigger rather than port forward the following ports:
Port 88 (UDP)
Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)
Port 53 (UDP and TCP)
Port 80 (TCP)
Port 88 (UDP)
Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)
Port 53 (UDP and TCP)
Port 80 (TCP)

Re: Nat issues please help
done both of those since it was in the info on how to open a port. i spoke to a xbox person and they said that i could turn off my modem for 5mins and then switch it on again and then do a re set up and hopefully this should work otherwise i cannot race(my modem is a speedtouch if that helps)
*update*
i have finally sorted it and now its back to open nat setting and i think if this happens again i will know what to do which is turn off my router for 5 mins and switch it back on.then i do a re setup on the xbox.
