Stewards Enquiry #2: Motegi East
TORA would like to make the following announcement.
Following the review of Telemetry from lobby B by TORA stewards, the following decisions have been reached.
The rules for rolling starts state that the drivers must approach the line at 70mph. Drivers may not accelerate until the poleman crosses the line and states go. Accelerating prior to this point can give an unfair advantage over other drivers.
As such, race three winner lfcnicklfc was found to be accelerating prior to the point that poleman crossed the line and declared go, at which point lfcnicklfc was doing 77mph.
It is TORA's decision that while we allow the win to stand, lfcnicklfc will be given a five place grid penatly following qualification and the next round he participates in.
TORA prides itself on fair driving between its competitors. Despite the Touring Cars having an unavoidable element of contact, we have not had to make any enquiries into serious incidents. However, when we feel that a driver or drivers are not following the fair conduct we promote, we must step in and take action.
To this end, TORA are issuing DanMastif a five place grid penalty to be applied following qualification at the next event he participates in. This is due to a number of incidents in race three which TORA feels were avoidable and not in keeping with the conduct expected in our competitions.
