TORA TCR Hot Lap Challenge #1 - [closed]

For those unfamiliar with the concept, the Hotlap Challenge is the Forza equivalent to Time Attack racing, where it's just you versus the clock versus everyone else's best single lap time.

This week's Challenge is actually a return to the beginning of my HLCs, as one of the first Challenges I ever hosted in FM3 featured these cars on a variant of this track: Australian V8 Supercars @ Iberian Short. Attacking the tight track with these wonderful beasts can be quite challenging, very addicting, and when done right rather rewarding.

Tuning, upgrades and swaps are NOT permitted in this week's HLC.

Cheats, err Assists: Sure

"Clean" laps only, /!\ laps do not count.

Please post your full time, as it can come down to .001, and even then there have been ties in the past.
Please be honest with your time and tidiness of the lap.

Verification: There are a few ways to verify your lap time. Simplest is to beat your previous time on the FM4 Leaderboards. Next would be to save a replay to your Storefront, with a note saying which lap to find it. Third would be to take a screenshot showing the car, track and time, but this would be least preferred as it can be blurry and hard to read.

In the end, this event relies on trust and sportsmanship, so please be legit in your posts.

Is it the car, the track or the Time Attack concept in general?

Same as Duncan. Only swapped the disk out to Forza for TCC & Spec Cup. I think that the lack of wheel to wheel racing deters people. That's the reason the MMTCC went under was because of the qualifying rule.

Sorry did a lap or 2 on the week end 44.738 on the leader board.

I'll try one more HLC next week. If it goes well, great... if it falls flat, so be it.

Without TCS and tuning I forgot how much of a beast these things were - spent about 90% of the lap in 3rd gear.

I'll give this a go next time I remember.

I remember awhile ago we did a Time Attack night, where we set the lobby up for so many minutes and collisions were off. We just built cars as we pleased to go as fast as possible and people set their fastest lap - sort of like a TEC qualifying session. Was good fun, but it required a night to do it. Doing these openly submitted times is great but as has been said I think GTA has been taking up a lot of people's times just now

I got my best lap offline and put the replay on my Storefront as I wasn't able to beat it when I was online. 

Yeah... seems most everyone I know is busy with GTA V... so I finally popped GTA IV into my XBox.  

In hindsight, overlapping the release of GTA V and FIFA 13 was as bad a week as I could choose to try this.
