Re: TCR GT Revival - General Discussion
Its not an issue Mikey, we all have those moments from time to time and with the start you got, i would have been tempted as well. Didnt spoil my fun in the race, so all good.Flyin Mikey J wrote:I'd like to publicly apologize to ATP Wheelwash for heavily contributing to his lap 1 turn 1 spin. I had almost cleared him, but had a slight bit of brake lock and slid up with my right rear connecting his left front.
Even worse, I didn't know there was any contact until I watched the replay this evening. Oblivious.

I don't suppose anyone would have a spare Mercedes tune knocking around, would they?

Re: TCR GT Revival - General Discussion
I'm hoping that I get done with the next job (two tow trucks) tomorrow so that I can make this. Love the series too much to miss another race, but too far in debt to skip a day's pay just yet.

When is the Sign in going to be out...I haven't seen one yet and usually they are out right after the last event finishes.BG Cowboy wrote:Reminder for this weeks race - the final race of the GT Revival at Silverstone International.

Re: TCR GT Revival - General Discussion
Congrats to Windcharger on his first TORA win. You drove a solid race. Great job.
Also I am a bit disappointed in the drop off in this series... I blame Lotus.

Re: TCR GT Revival - General Discussion
Really enjoyed tonights race. A nice and easy way into how these races work.. :-) Was really nervous as this was my first TORA race ever. Got pole with a bit of luck as I was the only one with a clean flying lap, but none the less. Decided for the outside line, which looking back was a mistake. Came out of the first corner (Copse) in third. Both Flyin Mikey J and Windcharger8199 then made a mistake going into/through Becketts. I managed to take a little advantage and passed Flyin Mikey, but could not get passed Windcharger. With regards to passing that was it for me. The first 4-5 laps I could keep reasonably close to Windcharger (~3 secs) but he then slowly started to pull away. I managed to pull a gap of ~6 seconds to Flyin Mikey in those same first few laps after which our gap remained the same for the rest of the race. Behind us XB6 Broomzke and nr.5 (can't remember who...) had an unfortunate coming together which damaged Broomzke's car leaving him unable to keep up with the top 3. The fifth driver was lagging quite badly and had to drop out.
Congrats Windcharger winning with a solid drive!
A small group and looking forward to joining the 'larger' series!
