BTCC Legends
It all starts here.
Btcc has been running in one form another since 1957 and was originally brought about as the British Saloon Car Championship but changed its title and some rulings in 1987 to the British Touring Car Championship.
The original BSCC was brought about by manufacturers wanting to gain more information about the cars, wear, durability and handling but was quickly taken up by privateers with money to spend and teams wanting a cheaper form of motorsport.
The cars originally had very few modifications made to them. Tape over headlights became common as did body reinforcement that rapidly grew to roll cages of some description.
The RAC MSA ( Now the FIA endorsed MSA) started overseeing the event and brought in safety measures akin to that of formula one.
The original cars were such as the A105 which took Jack Sears on to win the first ever BSCC and has evolved to the touring car of today.
This series is loosely based on the mid 1960's era of the championship, these were the days of the austin mini, the ford anglia, the lotus cortina, the MK1 escort and some american contenders got in on the action too.
The american muscle cars added a whole new aspect to the racing with the british cars by far out handling the muscle just to see the muscle beat them down the straights inspiring bravery from all angles.
The limitations of forza 4 car list see's only the lotus cortina and the mustang in their original form with the MK1 escort being substituted with the escort 1800.
Again the limitations of British tracks has left only silverstone as original with road atlanta being substituted in.
The cars are being tested for parity and the PI set to just above the original as possible without taking away the experience of the driving displayed in those days gone past.
This championshup currently awaits approval but ideally it would be scheduled to run for 2 meetings of 2 possibly three races with the start time of 21:00 to ease our American and European comrades onto the start line with dates of Tuesday the 5th Nov and Tuesday the 19th Nov.
This is to gauge interest in the event and to pry the official Tora wand over this way and make it legitimate.
If this championship is successful my aim is to run further series on FM4 / FM5 hopefully making our way through the ages gathering more cars as we go.
I'm looking forward to the Cosworth era, it was awesome to watch and will be even better to drive.

Re: BTCC Legends
Okay, I have a soft spot for vintage racing and old Fords... I'm sold. This is somewhat a British version of what I am doing with the Trans Am Series.

Re: BTCC Legends
2 meetings 3 races in each following tcc format.
Cars are
Lotus Cortina
Ford escort 1800
Mustang
As per 1960's.
Pi 530 with maximum handling to make the racing close.
If this one works then more next era cars will be added eg Cosworth etc
