Steam Winter Sale

The Steam Winter Sale is here! There's some really good titles up for grabs. I picked up Assetto Corsa for €25.52 and it is well worth it. I saw that Far Cry 3 is only €7.50 too. I wonder what else will drop, I have my hopes up that Skyrim Legendary Edition might go on sale. Anyone else pick up some goodies?

I only have a keyboard & mouse so racing games are kinda useless for me at the minute.

Manage day avoid the last one and staying off the steam store for this one, my wallet took a hammering in the spring.

I have finally set up an account and train simulator had 82% off, so I had to get that.

Might get Train Sim too, it comes with a load of DLC too.

I'm really annoyed I missed Music Creator though, damnit

Asseto Corsa looks the biz. Almost as visually compelling as pCARS but my poor laptop just wouldn't run it

Just got TS2014, Monaco and Burnout Paradise, and last week I managed to get Bully for £2 too

I was sort of tempted then saw they had West Somerset Railway as an option. OMG!!!

Still... small issue of becoming my father-in-law lol

I managed to find the First Great Eastern line that I use, plus one of the trains that run on it Correct even down to the pattern on the seats

But it's ruddy expensive, more than the game cost!

I've now found out the full names of the trains that I use too! Class 360 EMU and the older Class 321 EMU, and the GEML Class 90 on the mainline.

This is going to turn me into a trainspotter   

EDIT - Just looked at the Steam reviews.... Not good...

The used to be a MS version of this sort of thing which had things like the Severn Valley Railway, WSR etc. I'd like this if it wasn't for the completely unrealistic scenery. I know the route extraordinarily well and it's about as accurate as SBK's mountainous backdrop to Silverstone. Hey ho!

Now that takes me back... The days before the private companies took over Glasgow's overground railway network.

Booted up TS2014, went straight into a Southeastern Hitachi HS1 unit, pressed loads of random buttons, warning bells all over the place.

I really shouldn't drive trains.

Starting to get more into it now, and it's strangely addictive. Perhaps it's just my hangover, but I enjoyed getting into the groove of a journey.

Downloaded the unbuilt Glasgow Airport Rail Link (Which was cancelled mid way through construction. Everything but the actual viaduct into the Airport itself was built) and had some fun looking out for real life land marks along the route.
